Re: TIRES

Jeff, no problem. It's interesting to hear one more piece of its history. The car has been great. Denise and I like to tinker with things anyway...this just gave us an excuse. Jared, I was thinking 15 x 10's but they seem hard to find (in stock). At some point I had Diamond Racing 13x9's If you get...

Re: TIRES

I just ordered some Rivals from tirerack. They are running an $80 coupon, making them cheaper than the closeout ZII's!!

I had trouble finding any tire cheaper and all my local shops couldn't even come close to matching the shipped tirerack price.

Re: TIRES

You sure on those spring rates? Didn't Ed York set the car up? If so that's backwards from every other miata I've ever seen. Unless someone goofed and accidentally put the front springs on the rear of the car. Jesus christ that car is going to be fast if you get the spring rates sorted... PM me if ...

It's gone. You should be able to find it at summit point running track days and the like.

Too bad about your car. What did you do to it besides throw a battery through the side?

Re: Small Bore vehicles and allowed mods?

I just realized I have a 2005 with a little 1.8L 4 cylinder car sitting on the sidelines. Original Toyota engine. Naturally aspirated. Sounds like it fits the bill. Can it be included in small bore too? hey i'm trying to hijack the thread. I feel like I have a legitimate claim to bring my other car...

Re: Our 17 y.o. girl is recovering from a broken heart / sur

Wow!

So sorry to hear guys. I wish I had known or even known to check.

When I purchased the car it had a new timing belt and water pump and I never did anything to the engine except check the timing and drive it to and from autox.

Glad she is all back together and ready for more CDC autox.

Swayton, You can pay and register on site, but I would suggest to register online. This event could be full, and then you would be turned away at arrival. Try this link: http://www.capitaldrivingclub.com/schedule.php and then click sign up for event or go directly there: http://capitaldrivingclub.co...

Re: FRS/BRZ queations

Because there are relatively so few cars, used ones are not that much cheaper. The best "bargain" seems to be getting a slightly modified one. You have to find one you like the mods, but they seem to be going for a couple grand under MSRP, with a couple grand in wheels/tires, exhaust whate...

21k miles and no issues with mine

Some early cars had some issues that were dealt with by TSB's. I have not seen anything that resulted in major issues, just small annoying things, like condensation in the tail lights

As far as lightning -in the car is safe ... but the workers next to the light poles

if there is lighting within x number of miles (I forget right now) then we have to shut down until there is no more lighting strikes in the area for at least an hour. It is very much a safety concern

Re: Educate me about small vintage cars! (MGs, Triumphs, etc

I have a 1972 Triumph GT6 that I would probably part with... The car is in boxes and there is over 2k worth of new parts for the car. The engine has been bored/honed, the cam and crank have been balanced I have a new floor pan and a new rocker panel that need to be welded on. The old, rusty pieces h...
