Re: Going to dyno on Thursday, HP guesses?
You didn't put an option for my pick AJ =P I thinking 85 whp. If you want to do it Friday, I can bring the MR2 (if they have time that day, I'll throw down for my dyno time) and you, Fred and I can battle it out for the lowest hp. haha well I didn't even think of running 2 cars until now. I set up ...

Re: Top Gear USA
The show is horrible. The thing that makes Top Gear good is the challenges (did communism make a good car, make a car-boat, build the car rocket, go to the north pole on cars, etc) and this show lacks those.

What's the wheel base on both Fred? I know first gen Miata's like yours have the same wheelbase as my Corolla, but what does the Cobra have?

does anyone have any input/experience with the new Falken Azenis RT615 "K"?? To quote The Who: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Falken makes trash. I fought with Falkens last season, being pig headed, thinking I could beat the tires. It was a massive waste of time, I should have m...

It was a very long day from getting up early, getting the trailer and such, but I had a blast. I was really happy that the weather was nice and that the track wasn't ice cold.

Re: Where/How to Buy Piloti Shoes
I wear a size 13, exactly. Anything short of a 13 (12.999999 for example) and my feet explode with pain. My size 13 Piloti's are a tad loose but nothing bad at all. I'd say they fit rather well.

Re: Miata performance alignment in MD/DC/VA Area?
I'm extravagantly ignorant when it comes to labor prices and such, but PTuning just quoted me $855 worth of labor (no parts, I have everything needed, just no time) to do my wheel bearings and wheel studs. I dont know if this is cheap or not. If you assume $80-$100 an hour.. that's more than 8 hour...

Re: Hylton High school 7/31/10
Ugh, another autox in my backyard and I have to miss it. The Corolla blew up one of it's wheel bearings and the brakes went totally out on the last event with the BMW club. Unfortunately my full focus this weekend is to getting the car back and operational (assuming all my parts show up in the mail ...

I got to figure out how Hoosiers handle standing water that day. It was rather different turning the wheel and only moving laterally at like 10 mph.

Re: FATT - June 5
To me it is like a big autocross. Very tight and not alot of speed if I remember correctly. No one really has anything going on in June. EMRA is off in June, CDC is off. I think SCCA in DC is even light. The local SCCA RallyCross National event is June 12-13 too :) Club racing event at the end of t...

I have a little crappy 5 gal air tank I picked up at (insert store here cause I cant recall) and it does the job. Leaked a bit but I rebuilt the seals and reinforced them and now it works like a champ.

I'll have to catch this next time around. I really wanted to do it but I have fed ex this weekend, gotta get the corolla repainted here sometime in the near future (as fender flares are showing up this week), then I have a two day event next week. The pocket book is getting a little low.

I got an email from Scott about this last week or so and I'm one of the three signed up. I've been doing karting practice a bit, getting used to driving something this small.

Re: Where/How to Buy Piloti Shoes
I tried on some Pumas the other day. I needed something like a size 14 to fit the width of my foot. I normally wear a size 10 so I don't know what was up with the Pumas. Unfortunately DSW didn't have anything that big. Are your Pilotis real race shoes or are they from the touring collection? It see...

Re: Pro solo
NVM I found the registration for the Pro Solo on the scca site. I registered and I'll hopefully be ready. So far in ST is: '02 RSX-S '93 Civic SI '89 Civic SI( ) '00 2.5RS '89 Civic SI( ) Can't wait to get my ass kicked by the '89 Civic's but it'll be great to see how I stack up...
Re: Pro solo
The pro solo event is on the SCCA site itself (the main one, not WDCR).AJ_RDR_Civic wrote:Why do I not see it up on dlbracing or the wdcr site?? I thought I saw it a few weeks ago but now it's not there... Is it still on June 19th?
