Re: Star Specs?

My buddy has been running the pilots on his Mazda 3 h stock/stf car taking top pax in his local nc scca region. Eric should clean house in stf at dixie as well if he drives to his potential. Vince doesn't need an all out dry weather tire unless he planned on running multiple sets of wheels. The pilo...

Re: Star Specs?

It's the new bfgoodrich max summer tire. Another option I didn't think about is the michelin pilot super sport. They make a 265/40/18 which is closer to stock diameter. The michelin would make a lot better 3 season tire and is pretty awesome in the wet while still being good in the dry and are price...

Re: Star Specs?

Don't worry about overall diameter unless your running out of gear or lacking power both of which I don't think you have to worry about. I think the 275/35/18 rival would be my choice for the mustang. They will fit fine on an 8 inch wheel with little bulge. In rain sessions you'll be screwed regardl...

Re: Utter confusion at the tire place today

my hoffman isn't the best but it works fine with my little a6s. it can get a little brutal with super low profile r-comps. i've had better luck with most r-comps than some street tires i've mounted for friends. if anyone is in frederick and needs a hand swing on by, i work at precision tune autocare...

Re: help with tires

I have 13x9 diamonds with 5" backspace and 255/40/13-225/45/13 hoosier a6s that I use on my accent and I wouldn't drive more than a mile or so on them on the street. They aren't going to last long driving to and from events on them. I got around 45 runs out of my front tires this past season an...

Re: R-comps in small bore

from personally running on old v710s 205/50/15 for 2 seasons before swapping over to new a6s for this year I was a good 1-1.5 seconds faster at fedex. some of that time was size difference but I think most of it was just swapping to new rubber. the v170s weren't worn out when I got rid of them but t...

Re: small bore r-less

since I won't be driving the accent at the last test and tune on sunday my 13x9s and 255f/225r a6 combo are up for use. the only thing I ask for is one heat of driving since i'm co-driving a lancer on sunday as well. So aj if you would like to see what your car would do in true fsp form this is your...

4 16" old version enkei nto3 +38 offset 4x100

i'm trying to get rid of my nto3s since I have no use for them anymore. they are too big for the race accent and don't fit my daily driver anymore. here are a few pics of them on my accents http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc303/ascort/silver%20car/Picture002.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Congrats to CDC members running SCCA events!

i'm not able to attend many cdc events so it's pretty easy to not remember that i'm a cdc member :D . yeah the points came down to the last event. marshall cone, who was right behind me in points, co-drove my car at the last wdcr race. I think I only beat him by a tenth of a second  . I didn'...

Re: apologies and thanks to everybody

1st off I never thought your car was all that loud. I've heard plenty of loud vehicles and yours makes it halfway up my scale of loud. glad to hear your turbo install went well. the install looks very professional. your turbocharging a car that was never meant to be turbocharged, its going to have s...

harry grove test and tune

hey I was wondering if anyone would register me as a guest for the harry grove test and tune on sept 6. I know this event fills up quickly and since i'm not a member anymore it's hard for me to get registered in time. I like doing the frederick test and tune because its a home course for me since I ...

Re: 7/18 event at SP & pictures

problem solved don't worry nobody will get bumped down in the points. Its my fault I didn't get put in the results and since i'm not competing regularly i'm not worried about points anyway. I know where I ended up which is all that matters to me. sorry for any confusion I may have caused. :)

Re: 7/18 event at SP & pictures

so who's cruel idea was it to leave the hyundai out of the results completely?

i'm pretty sure my 38.0 would put me 3rd overall raw and pretty high up on index as well as winning the small bore class.

any input on this guys?
