Re: I Need New Autocross Numbers

I can answer any questions if someone is interested in getting in the business, or just wants to do it as a hobby. It's a lot more involved and expensive than you would think, but it's a lot of fun being able to make your own stickers, magnets, etc. Scott I would recommend Scott if he was still in ...

Re: PA: Subaru Custom Ground Control/Koni Setup

Hello, For sale is a completely custom suspension setup off my 2003 WRX. All parts should be compatible from the 2002-2007 WRX/STI models (unless the size of the knuckle changed... please correct me if I'm wrong). They will only fit the 2004 STi - the 2005-2007 do have a different front assembly. h...

Should we index for tire width too?

Just a quick proposal, splitting from the other thread:
0-235: .99
245-265: 1.00
275-285: 1.01
295+: 1.02
Maybe kill the 250+ penalty, and add this to help make sure things are even?

Re: Should Greater than 250 HP be the top Index?

I agree with Don. For the tight CDC lots our power doesn't help much. I'm almost as fast in the Miata on skinny tires as the Cobra. Wade and Larry are a blast to watch, but it's not making them go any faster.....Now Cumberland is a different story. This makes sense for HG, and maybe Woodbridge, but...

Pretty much everything built in the last 10 years uses some sort of variable valve timing.

It's not witchcraft.

Oh yeah, two small bits of feedback on the course: * Splitting the course into two chunks makes sense - two cars on course at once. But next time, can we have the two chunks go in opposite directions? More even tire wear, that sort of thing. My front right was not pleased with me :p * The visuals we...

One issue with the navigation: because they're buttons instead of links, you can't right click them to copy shortcut, or control click them to open them in a new tab, etc. It looks like the only reason they're buttons is this: function clicked(click_id){ if(click_id=='cdc_news')window.location.href=...

I chickened out. Good alternative, as i see SCCA is charging double for more runs. :? SCCA "ENTERPRISES". "For more runs" or do you mean "for fewer runs"? I didn't know that they normally give 9 runs at their events. New for this year at Fedex, you can pay $25 to get 4...

There's an Exige that runs with WDCR that must run some serious track pads. You can usually see the car throwing sparks when it brakes. You have nothing to worry about :)

If you are going to make an index for springs then you have to make one for single, double, and triple adjustable shocks too..... Before you know it my index would be 1.10...... :? Fred's car is not exactly a true XP car, just look at this years Pro Solo results  So that index isn't exactly where it should be for his car lol. Is Ryan's car a full prep STU car? For that matter, the last time I talked to Don he was on non adjustable Bilsteins with springs that lower the ...

Re: BEST STREET TIRES

For the OP: staggered tires on a BMW, IMHO, suck. There is a guy running an E30 M3 at the national level who runs a 245/255 stagger but only because he can't fit 255s in the front. If you are dailying or not going for super aggressivity, 235's all around should do the trick, plus they'll give you a...

Re: BEST STREET TIRES

From everything ive seen, the RE11 is the dominant tire...if you can afford it. Not in 17" or on a heavy car. IMHO in the heavy car bracket it's between the AD08s, the Z1s and the RS3's depending on desired temperature range. Dunlops have won STU the last two years. For the OP: staggered tires...
