Re: Just bought a 2002 Miata

Actually 2002 should have the 16x6.5" wide wheels so you need to find 15x6.5 wheels.

Re: Where to buy cones / Rallycross course design

Yeah but if it is in Lancaster, PA that is a bit out of the DC Region. If you are interested I could get you in touch with Susquehanna SCCA rallyx who would be interested in sites in that area.

Re: Does anyone here SCCA Rallycross?

I did the event, and it was a blast! Somewhat abusive to steering, suspensions, and to low-hanging body parts. I got to see Mike Goldman there with his Impreza. If you have a nice car and want to keep it nice, this is probably not for you. But if you don't mind getting dirty, and maybe a little rou...

Re: Does anyone here SCCA Rallycross?

- Cost - $60 to enter (If you are an SCCA member add $10 if not a member and another $10 if you are signing up the day of the event instead of online) - How well run it is - Pretty well and getting better as we have more people step up to help. - Number and duration of runs - ~10 runs ranging from 6...

OBDII reader?

I know with torque and a bluetooth OBDII adapter I can read RPM's on most OBDII cars.

Re: NNJR SCCA NorthEast Divisional

I was the fastest car with street tires in D-Stock and came within a cone of beating a few with tires.... FYI : SCCA is running "road tire" classes for cars running street tires in stock class this year. For the mini you would run FDS (FWD D Stock). This is a indexed class against other F...

NASA has classing but I have not seen an index based on their classing.

Shift knobs - Now legal in SCCA stock classes.

Re: New to the board

Cool beans, I was going to get a helmet over the winter in prep for next year. Guy at work told me about the runs at Harry Grove so I figure it would be a good place to shake the car down. The car is my licenced, registered, and insured DD. I was just curious if I really had to change my coverage o...

Depending on how bad you think 66 is on the weekend you might try 66/28/Liberia/234/Minneville/spriggs

You can also take 123 to Occoquan and then old bridge/minneville/spriggs

Why do that when I have a perfectly good miata for AutoX?
I don't want to just rip them up like an autoX would do.

Any idea why the idle on startup is so bad on my RX-7?

Don't forget your rule books LOL. Didn't they do away w/ that w/ the hard card thing? Rule books are not required this year for any national events. You also do not need to buy the solo license/rulebook waiver. The rule now states. B. Drivers are responsible for knowing and understanding the SCCA N...

I am looking for more ultimate grip. The Miata is inherently tail-happy and i am currently maxed for neg camber in rear. Understeer is not my problem with this car as it currently sits. Of course as soon as I get the rear to stick better I will drive faster until the front starts to slide and then ...

CSP cars don't get to use custom control arms. Yes they can if they want. 15.8.H. Camber kits, also known as camber compensators, may be installed. These kits consist of either adjustable length arms or arm mounts that provide a lateral adjustment to the effective length of a control arm. Alignment...
