Re: Results for Waldorf October 1st
When I was working up the results, I noticed that Jerry B had 8 runs and that his last would have been FTD. The pattern of the runs didn't quite make sense, as it looked like he did 3 in the morning, 2 around lunch, and 3 more in the afternoon. Plus, one of the middle runs was 3 seconds slower. If t...

Re: Results for July 30th Winchester
It was a group effort. I sent Mike the results with only 6 runs.
My blowoff valve return hose popped loose for some of my afternoon runs creating a post-MAF air leak. I'd rather forget those runs anyway.

Re: Per SCCA RULES which class am I currently?
The SCCA really doesn't want you to add a turbo. I'm not certain about the various ST* classes, but it's a no-no even in the prepared classes. I can't even port my turbo for street prepared. I believe you would be dumped into a mod class.

I'm driving Ed's TR6, and he probably wouldn't mind you driving it (if you dare ). And speaking of other people's cars, Jeff Goldsmith might appreciate your opinion of his Miata (it's fast and fun) or there's always the Parson's Miata. Driving a momentum car might be fun for a change.

Re: How do you compare your improvements vs other people?
It's really hard to compare times with other drivers across different events. Courses can be easier or harder for certain cars. Some courses might look easy but the experienced drivers find the obscure fast lines (sort of true for the last Waldorf event). And sometimes you just have a bad day. If I'...

I'll look into having a club dyno day if we can get a few people interested. I'd like to know how much Ed's TR6 is actually putting down.

Results for Waldorf - Sept. 6
Since Mike Moran is at SCCA Nationals, I'll post the results for now in raw form. I created a PDF and JPEG version of the results, but can't seem to attach either to this topic. To make viewing easier, load this table into a spreadsheet application. Some of the index times appear to be borked, so ig...

Re: 10% Discount for servicing at P-Tuning
I wonder if they'd consider doing a bunch of dyno runs like they did for the Triumph club. They charged $50 for three runs, IIRC. I'd love to see what my Miata is really putting down. We'd probably need at least 10 people to make it worth they're time.

We're OK for equipment. We now use high-power outdoor WiFi routers that are much better than the home routers we used originally. We still have those as backups.

Re: Woodbridge July 12th Results
I'll go on record as saying we should keep this lot. Frederick is beginning to resemble the lunar surface and I can't imagine they will repave it anytime soon. It's a matter of time before we simply can't use it. Having one or two events each season at Woodbridge keeps it available as an option. The...

Re: June 28th at Winchester
That was a fun event. Yes, there were lots of FRS/BRZ and they keep getting faster. By my count, there were 14 Miata drivers and 10 FRS/BRZ, so they are approaching Miata levels of popularity. I'm not sure when Mike will be back from Toledo, so here are the very raw and preliminary results for yeste...

Re: IMPORTANT- NEW BAR CODE SYSTEM- READ NOW
This post is to announce that we are officially no longer using bar codes. The index system remains in place, but we are no longer requiring participants to print out bar codes and show them at start. What this means is that we need everyone to have the correct driver number on their car readable fr...

Thanks for posting this, Kyle.
Liam is a really good guy. Glad to see he's moved on to bigger things in motorsports. I tried driving his Evo once. The guy definitely has some driving skills to have kept that crazy fast thing on the line.

(And by the way, those TR-6s are amazing. Three of them this time.) I'm amazed the course wasn't covered in oil by the afternoon. It was good to see some of the Triumph club guys make it out. We even had The Shape of Things That Came and Went in the form of a TR7. I actually really liked that car. ...

case in point is the TR6 from saturday, as driven by three different drivers each selected a different class But that helps disquise the fact that Mike Adrian beat both Ed and me in our own car. Something that we should have made more official is the dropping of bar codes for this season. This is p...
