I take I66-I81-US522. It's a longer but because of traveling on more major roads, you can make up in speed. Alternately US50 is the more direct route.(but in my experience slower)

Here's a calendar for 2012 listed most autocross events in the DC area. Hopefully later I'll add all of the schools as well.

The SCCA school is quite good, I've taken the level 2 school before. If that isn't in your budget, NCCBMW and a few other local clubs offer some schools. Be sure to also grab seasoned drivers here with CDC for ride-alongs as well.

Congrats on the season opener! Sorry I missed it, still working on the car. Hopefully ready to go by the next event or two.

No, we should not index for tire width. Why mess with the good things of CDC & make it overly complicated? What next, driver weigh in?

As the resident CDC vegan, I'm all for penalizing those that down a ham sandwich or two...

I voted to keep it the same. I do agree with Dan that the r-comp "penalty" is awfully high. Since my driving isn't good enough to counter that, I just run street tires now at CDC events.

Yeah, sad to see it come to an end. We'll have to have some karting events. Philly has some winter events I think.
