FS: 1991 Honda Prelude 4WS

This isnt my car, a friend of mine has been trying to sell it for the past few weeks with not too much luck. He has had the car a long time and put a lot of work into it, but with kids now he doesnt have much time to use the car too much so he has decided to let it go. Alot of extras come with the c...

Re: Back to Winchester 7-17-10

I dropped 5 tenths on my final run but clipped a cone with my rear tire. ****!

Really fun doing a faster course, even though it may not have been ideal for my car.

Re: Back to Winchester 7-17-10

Any changes to the barcodes in the past few events? I think the last time I printed mine out it was for the 1st Woodbridge event of this season.

Re: Bowie Auto-x April 3rd

I was running late this weekend and completely forgot my camera at home :o Yesterday was my first run with CDC and it was a blast! I appreciate the laid back and friendly atmosphere. I got some good pics from the meet and I posted the better ones up on Flickr earlier today. http://www.flickr.com/pho...

Re: the Capri Is cooler than you think

If you really like your car and are able to just swap some parts from a donor to repair it, why not? You hit the 39 range this weekend. Imagine with the motor running well, a set of light wheels and sticky tires, perhaps some upgraded shocks and some negative camber dialed in on your front wheels.....

Re: Bowie results

I was hoping to break into the 36's in the afternoon, but I was pushing too hard, trying to hit a certain line and I was either over braking or overshooting my corners a little bit, losing precious momentum. Overall I am happy though. After heat 1 in the morning I thought to myself If I get in the 3...

Re: results are up!

Ahh yeah, the lack of love for the poor Accent. I remember when I had my first car, an 02 Accent L with the Alpha 1 engine (GO 92hp of fury!), no one made even strut tower bars so I had to make them myself, it was a very good thing no one could see them cause they were fugly. I do remember that it ...

Its a Hyundai Accent. As far as I know no one makes any cool parts like that for a 3rd gen Accent. But hey I can get carbon fiber door trim. I have to make lemonade out of lemons here!

Re: results are up!

Alignment and tires should make a pretty big difference, moreso than most of the other planned mods you have. Many factory FWD alignments are set at 0* negative camber in the front. I know it chews up the outside of my front tires pretty good. I have ingalls enginnering camber bolts on the way and p...

Re: First event

I should be able to ride with you. You're running 2nd heat right? As for pressures, I can't say much. Sounds like the first time you had it would do better, 37/42. I'd get a better idea for it after riding though. Thanks AJ, yes 2nd heat next weekend. its hard to make the tire pressure comparison a...

Re: First event

Great first event. I really liked the barcode system and new timing display. I would like someone to ride along with me for a few morning runs at Bowie this weekend, I could use some FWD pointers. This was only my 2nd autocross with this car, I am getting used to it but I feel like I could be quicke...

Re: Winter Small Bore projects.

Add one Dan K / Frank D style tire carrier to the list of winter mods. Picking up some good ratcheting straps and some DIY laminating film for the barcodes tomorrow and I am ready to race. Now if I could only figure out how to fit a tire and an air tank in the passenger seat. Try taking the seat ou...

Re: Winter Small Bore projects.

I didn't adjust the rear brakes or the e-brake cable and I am hoping that is why there is a ridiculous amount of pedal travel until the brakes catch. Until you adjust the calipers, you will get a lot of pedal travel. Until you adjust the caliper, the piston has to move a great distance before the p...

Re: Winter Small Bore projects.

I'm only planning on upgrading items as they need replacing for the time being....and just learn how to drive fwd. I did remove the rear seats a week or two ago, I need to get behind the rear panels to ditch the seat belt mechanisms which are no doubt a few pounds. May look into ditching the rear wi...

Yes we should all rest assured that all the ruts and potholes we have grown to love are safe and sound under a couple feet of snow, protected from the elements.
