Re: New Rules for the 2011 Season

As one of the caterham drivers at the last event, I'll agree that it needs to be penalized. Can't speak for Larry, but I know I wasn't maximizing the car, and my butt-dyno (not to be confused with The BD) says there was at least another full second out on course. That said, the reason the 7 does so ...

Re: Last CDC Autocross of the season

Not much action on this forum during the off season. I dunno, given season results, maybe we need to have another 50-post thread about small bore rules... (for the love of god I'm joking) I'll add my praise for the course on Saturday. Still very impressed how that course made the lot feel much bigg...

poor man's proportioning valve: raise the handbrake one or two clicks before you set off. Works for a lot of the civics; might be worth a try if pressed for time/money. Or different pads front/rear. Honestly, if you can lock up at will, you're fine..IMHO brakes have rapidly diminishing returns in au...

awesome... finally get to see that matchup... be warned, O'Maley trophied at nats (barely in ST, but hell, he would've gotten 3rd in STX...). You know if you and jason can get the car dialed in before then, maybe the RSX is the better tool for the job...

AJ, i think it's time to use that dyno session you won and prove once and for what we all know: the poor little motor in your civic isn't cracking 100 whp. That'll secure your first index win nicely ;)

If you are on old tires I would get fresh tires on the car before you start trying to fix any handling problems because your car will be completely different on fresh tires. Amen. Everything begins and ends with tire; tune the suspension for the tire. Don't know if rcomps are any different, but at ...

They still do walkups for the winter series. Great lot (Frank, think at least 3x the size of the one you went up to) and they like designing fast courses. Philly is a great bunch to run with, even if many of them are eagles fans. This was from last year on that lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq...

You dont really get going fast enough on SP to do any severe damage like flipping anyway unless someone gets brutally crazy coming back toward the timing tent and goes off that edge there VERY fast. Beg differ. At the last SP event, I was driving (formerly)Danny's Evo, and there were several spots ...

No matter what the location, each driver has the responsibility to drive his car in a controlled manner. Right, and that's all I'm really trying to say. It's not the club's responsibility to prevent everyone from driving over their ability. I'm just not confident enough in my ability to stay on the...
