Re: Bowie on Saturday August 28th
I actually just bled them at my parents house yesterday. The front right had a lot of air bubbles so I hope that was it. Will find out at the next autox. Not sure what else it could be if it still has issues

Re: Bowie on Saturday August 28th
Bleh....should have gotten a top 10, but I sucked it up. Two things I noticed, MIke....First, the fella in the G35 was driving Dan's Miata when he ran the 45.xx. Second, the 2010 STI (Silver) in the top 10 has an index that doesn't make sense. Other than that....thanks for the quick posting of the ...

Re: First event
I must say that was one of the best courses at Harry Grove I have ever raced on. Running heat 1A felt like a Rally-X and my car showed it for sure. It was covered in dirt and dust inside and out. Definitely times improved as the cars cleaned the driving line as the day went on. I dropped over a seco...

Re: 2009 CDC Indexes
It's a 2004 MazdaSpeed. Have you looked under one of those? My guess is there's at least 50 lbs. of bracing added. Then there's the turbo/intercooler. I'm not sure what else makes up the difference. Maybe the 17" rims. Oh yeah, the plastic chin and trunk spoilers. After going on a small diet t...

Re: Weights and WHP - database
1994 Mazda Miata
Weight = 2290 Pounds
HP(factory rating) = 128 HP
Wheel HP now... would be lucky to be getting 100hp at the wheels.

Re: 2009 CDC Indexes
How does your miata weight so much? Is that with you in it? A stock miata is what around 2300? Even with a turbo and inter cooler and piping it shouldn't be more then 2400.

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009
I think we should have a drag race between my Miata and AJ's Civic. That will settle the HP issue I think  But then again I don't make the rules.. just have to follow them and if you don't like them you don't have to race there... kinda why I stopped competing with the SCCA, to many rules and w...

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009
The whole reason CDC exists I think is because people hate all the rules and regulations of SCCA auto-x's. This is supposed to be a more fun and easy going environment. If we start having 10 different classes and 5 different modifiers I think it takes away a little of that "fun" value. I'...

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009
Figure Ill put in my 2 cents. I think the system this year is leaps and bounds better then last year. Knowing what you have and what you need to shoot for I think is key. I will pull out my calculator a couple times each event to see just how I compare to other drivers with different indexes. I am n...

Re: Revised small bore class
Maybe we could just say 5 of the lowest events would be dropped, this way if anyone misses or has already missed one race they won't be out of the running. That might be the easiest thing to do. As it stands now if anyone can't make it to any of the upcoming races or has missed one event already the...

Re: Revised small bore class
Ed, that's another good reason to say the season technically started July 5th and carry over points for Sean who only seemed to race twice so far anyways. This way it will be more competitive because you could still drop some times. As it stands now if anyone missed an event or couldn't race their c...

Re: Revised small bore class
Just throwing this out there as an idea regarding the issue of points being retroactive so the new rule changes don't have any adverse effect on anyone. What if it was said that the series officially started when the new rules were put into effect on July 5th and any points from before would be gran...

Re: July event course
I will say the event on the 21st was probably the best course I have driven at Harry Grove, surprisingly long and fun. If you can keep any of those design elements in mind that would be great!

Inclement Weather Policy? Lighting/Thunder
I was just looking over the weather report. While I can deal with rain I know the SCCA closes down shop once they hear thunder because that means lightning is around. What is CDC's policy on this because they are calling for thunder on Saturday

Re: INDEX SYSTEM
I am in the same boat as most people who agree that the current system is flawed. Although I think of CDC as being a "fun" event, I also enjoy some level of competition and like to see how I would compare to faster and more powerful cars. I think thats where a new index/pax system is neede...
