Re: Woodbridge 05/29/2010

yeah, now you're stuck with just watching my corolla do it... :) Our cars were just dancing to the autox beat  Interesting the wheels we picked up, the front wheel on a rwd car and rear wheel on a fwd car. I'd sure be interested in seeing a picture of a fwd car lifting a front wheel. ( I g...

Re: Woodbridge 05/29/2010

As a spectator . . . I much prefer the grassy plateau at Frederick.

But I gotta say, the low level video shots at Woodbridge look much cooler.

Here's my best run for the day . . . 46.33

Is anyone out there doing any data logging and would be willing to share the data with me? Data Points I'm interested in are: TPS (throttle position sensor) is t...

Yes, as always, I had a wonderful time, and want to express my gratitude to all the folks who make these events happen. I can't thank you all enough. I'm gonna give a special shout out to whomever was manning the microphone towards the latter part of the day on Saturday. As a driver, I appreciated y...

Had a great time yesterday . . . as always. Getting a ride in the Morgan was a real treat. Hope you guys got the exhaust back together for the afternoon runs. A couple of my videos from yesterday are also on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT_tIWpidEs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T1fy8pqw...

Re: 8/29 Bowie

Argghhh. My hardtop is leaking at the rear window and I don't have time to fix it until next weekend. I believe that is one of the 1001 and one uses for duct tape is it not? On top of that, I can't take the hardtop off because of the race seat that isn't low enough. The seat being too low keeps you...

Re: Format improvement ideas for Autocross day.

Waiting around for hours before you can run your first heat is also my biggest complaint. Why can't they keep registration and tech open in a small part of the course up until the beginning of the last or second to last morning heat? I think the important part of that question is "WHY" My...

Format improvement ideas for Autocross day.

Hopefully this isn't a topic that is already started somewhere that I'm missing. If it is - please feel free to smack me and move this post. What all would be required to run a second tech inspection later on in the day? More Volunteers? I would hope we could make that happen. If you need the truste...

Re: Summit skidpad

Thanks for all the input from attendees. I think overall it was a pretty good event, except the fact that we had quite a few no-shows. However, we finally packed up around the normal time....so if those ~30 people showed up, how late would we have been there? -Ed O There were that many no-shows? Wo...

Re: Summit skidpad

Out of curiosity - does anyone know accurate dimensions of Summit Point's Triple Skid Pad? It's a simple geometric pattern which would be easy to draw up to scale. Might be helpful for helping to plan course layout. If you need someone to do the CAD work - I'll be happy to oblige. If not - I'll try ...

Re: Summit skidpad

No one is complaining about the course being confusing we were saying that we understand how the mistake happen and they went off course. But, yes a car coming straight at me and 5 other course workers is a problem My bad. I didn't understand what you were saying. Sorry about that. I never saw the ...

Re: Summit skidpad

I think the problem was there were two left-pointing pointers after the left hander approaching the slalom. If you weren't looking ahead and got stuck in the left/right rhythm of the esses, that second pointer (to indicate where the slalom started) might've pushed you to the left. Didn't seem like ...

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009

I didn't see if there was a separate listing for small bore series. When I searched, most of the comments seemed to be on this post / thread. I was trying to figure out if I was a candidate for the small bore series. I think that my car meets the spirit of the class, but might miss out on the displa...

Re: Summit skidpad

Had a great time and as always - thanks to the organizers for all the work you do. (I should help more) I figured there'd be some learning curve on how to run things at this location as it is so different than the small lots that we normally use. I didn't mind 3 large heats. Although in the middle o...
