Re: 10/9 at Bowie

I believe that black chair is in the timing trailer. Preliminary Results are up. Please notify me in this thread or over PM if there are any changes that need to be made. I thought my runs were 43.0 +1, 43.4+1, 43.4 clean, I forget, I forget, 43.2 clean. But I may have missed some cones in there. I...

Re: 10/9 at Bowie

My best morning run (43.4)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwiAC_EPBWI

The car is fun but I clearly have a lot of learning to do about all this RWD stuff.

Great event!

Re: Bowie 9-25

Which camber plates? I am in desperate need of some, my stock hats and bilsteins with H+Rs arent cutting it. The Ground Control street plates: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1503114 I'd get the race ones for your purposes. The only negative thing I've heard about them is that...

Re: Policy on Multiple Timesheets

If I were angling to win the overall, I'd try to get 6 morning runs in a small bore car and then run 6 runs in the afternoon in my "top index" fast car. Or 3 small / 3 fast / 3 small / 3 fast - either way you get a lot more looks at the course than someone who only registered once. So does...

Re: Flyin' Miata frame rail reinforcement

FWIW, I had the cheapest shock tower brace available (Greddy/Trust) for my '93 and I felt it made a really noticeable improvement in how the car felt over bumps (i.e. it did not feel like it was going to rattle to pieces). Something to check out, IMHO, since it sounds like that is still unbraced. I ...

Re: NCC ChapterFest 2010 October 30th Bowie, MD

I've alway had fun at the NCC events I've done, particularly when I overhear the tech guys say " those cobra's aren't as fast as they look".. That is irony... Seriously they always have really fun open courses and great events. They may even use the lower lot. They did at the August event...

Depends on when you went in the afternoon :P. But yes it did get better for everyone. I think everybody's times dropped a good bit. I couldnt drive for crap or something in the afternoon, and my full wet time AM was 44.96 I beleive and then only a 44.85 in the PM, a whopping .11 improvement from we...

Re: James Wood High School

I liked the lot, a bit gravelly and slippery although that may have to do with me mounting a brand new set of tires the night before. I was not prepared for this event, lots of good rubbing on my fenders and I hope dunlops need break in time otherwise im actually quite disappointed in their grip. A...

Re: James Wood High School

So was the course design dictated by lightpoles or anything like that? It seemed rather figure-8'y, sorta like a bigger Harry Grove course.

I took mine off back in the day because they scraped so badly at the bumps at Harry Grove.

Re: Bowie results

WDCR SCCA/AI - For the most part, ride-alongs is not strictly enforced, and usually is more-so enforced by your class members if they are serious about it or competitive. However on the Regional Pro-Solo and National Pro-Solo...you had better not be caught riding along until you finished (especiall...

Re: Bowie results

Fred is just getting us confused with the scca where people aren't allowed to do ride a longs. ;) You can do ridealongs at SCCA events. At WDCR events, you just can't do them until you've completed your runs, so that you don't have an advantage seeing the course more than other folks. *not trying t...

Re: Bowie Auto-x April 3rd

I attribute my slow times to not having enough stickers on my car. Next time I'll keep in mind to put more tape on my car (and learn to find a better line.) Is the GO!!!!! a tribute to Mikko Hirvonen? Close but not quite, I'm actually a Sebastien Loeb fan :) http://holiday.monacoeye.com/monaco_mont...
