Re: R-comps in small bore

I know this would be a lot of work for the organizers ... which I don't mind... but maybe if people really want tires to be limited, there could be a spec style class. The cars could only have certain modifications and they all have to run one set of tires. I know this would be very difficult and no...

Re: Your opinion - which autocrosses did you like/hate?

We already use the public streets to change heats, so people should understand how to properly drive on the public streets. This format would force people to drive on the streets even more. Again, people drive their trailers r-comps/cars on the public streets here to switch heats, but I do see the c...

Re: Miata Catalytic Converter 94-97

if you can get it off of my car you are welcome to borrow it to pass inspection ... I still have not been asked to pass emissions in MD yet so I technically need it. I could not get bolts on the muffler side loose and had to have andrewtech do it for me so I assume the front bolts are equally as rus...

cyber monday sale - brake pads/rotors

I just got an email about 20% and free shipping on orders over $150. I needed some new brakes for the miata, so I just picked up some axxis ultimate pads all the way around and slotted rotors (they were cheaper than the OEM ones???) Either way, I thought someone here could use the deal. http://www.r...

Re: R-comps in small bore

I vote we ban r-comps from small bore because my girlfriend just told me that I would have to move out if I stored my 2nd set of wheels/tires in the house  Another set of wheels is nothing. Now, an entire car closet - that's also taken over the dining room - is something to complain about. HAH...

Re: miata "racing" seats

Thanks for all the help. I actually really like the look of the intermediate road race seat, but it is a little more pricey. I was also thinking that I might want to get a HANS device some time in the future. I am assuming that I will want to do some more serious SCCA racing or time trials or someth...

miata "racing" seats

Now that I finally got my rollbar installed I am thinking about getting a good quality seat in the car with a real harness. I was wondering if you guys had a good cheap option. I want something that will work with a 6-pt harness as well as provide protection in a rear and side impact. It doesn't hav...

there were a couple turboed miatas with the NACA ducts at a few CDC events I was thinking about fabing up my own CAI with a NACA duct and a "cold-air box" but decided that I should spend my time/$ on putting in my roll bar first I have been logging some intake temps and mass airflow readin...

Re: 09/19 Summit Point

I like the "Guess your time" game. We could have one more worker at the start line with clip board and write down the drivers guessed time for the 3rd run in the morning. This does give the organizers something else to compile, but doing one run per person might not be too terrible. I'm su...

wade - I would love to brew with all grains, I just don't have the space in a condo to store all the equipment nessisary. Similarly, I don't really have enough room for a kegorator. Re: ground control height adjust wrench

The car is finished. Andretech worked on the car yesterday (all day long). It is properly corner balanced and aligned for auto-x. They also spent a lot of time trying to get my rusted cat-back exhaust off the car. But finally, the exhaust is on and the car is properly aligned ... the only problem is...
