Re: NASA Summer Breeeeeze

I was back at main this Sunday running between the MARRS events. It was pretty hot and my times were ~.5-1 second slower, but there were very few cars so I got chance to try alternating approaches into 10 and riding the limiter was quantitatively faster. Thanks a lot for the suggestion dude!!!

Re: NASA Summer Breeeeeze

Change gearing, make more power or exit speed higher so you are in 5th longer, bouncing off the limiter in 4th, or just work on heel/toe into turn 10. I am limited on gearing/power, so I just bounce off 4th a bunch when I want my absolutel fastest lap to the 1/10th. If I am just doing laps or can s...

Re: NASA Summer Breeeeeze

Just had a potential brain wave about why my speeds through 10 were lower. This event was the first time I was gaining enough out of 9 to need to require a shift to 5th before 10. So instead of just tapping the brakes I had to downshift to 4th as well which meant I was on the breaks for a smidge lon...

Re: NASA Summer Breeeeeze

Nice! i really need to get a camera.... Looking at the data off my low 1:27.XX laps I still have plenty of room to improve all over... lol a mixed blessing i suppose. The big one to work on now is through turn 10, slowing down to high 70s through it right now which seems excessive :-/ Max Gs: Latera...

Via an email from SCCA I discovered another event! September 1st (looks like it is advanced only but has club racing and proceeds go to charity which is cool)

Re: Trackdaze next weekend

Awesome, I was just looking through my own data and while not being a pansy for turn 3 helped me drop into the low 1:29s. It was a better line (basically just less steering angle) through ten that got me into into the mid 1:28s. I ended up with ~7 more mph along the straight, even got up to 119.9 be...

Re: Trackdaze next weekend

I will be there both days, provided I have enough brake pads, I ordered 3 sets to be safe lol only have one right now.... I do agree Shenandoah is more fun and I seem to have a better relative pace there. Last weekend I dropped over half a second on average lap (1:46.10) time and dropped into the 1:...

Re: Hyperfest

The Ohlins R&T is definitely a nice setup but oriented more towards street driving than all out track performance. The TC Kline Double Adjustables we got for Caitlin's mini were recommended at 450f/190r with a big rear bar and essentially running on the bumpstops. I didn't really like that opti...

Re: NASA @ VIR in July

I am thinking about coming, primarily because my buddy’s chump car team is down a driver for their august race. They asked if I could join but and I have never been to VIR. It is a different configuration but, I figure some experience there is better than none. I will demote myself to 2 so that I ge...

Re: Hyperfest

Yay new suspension! Why the stiffer front spring? We're running 350 square on Caitlin's JCW. Do you have adjustable camber arms in the rear? A couple of things. One being those are what came with the kit... I know not the best reason, but I figured would be a good starting point and I can always ge...

Re: Hyperfest

I found the following for the ra-1 which is close i guess... Toyo Tires recommends the following general set-up guidelines for the Proxes RA1: Operating Tempera...

Re: Hyperfest

silly boy! you need -CAMBER not tires haha yeah, i was using the logic, tires are a wear item and my stock suspension only has 50k on it, also 600<<3000 i did realize my front sway has a stiffer setting so will give that a shot at the next track day / autoX i end up at next up is the better interco...

I have ordered nt01s (in 225/45/15 of course) for the mini and a aim solo :D a bit early on the tires but discount tires had a $50 rebate so they are only 600 shipped, might have to mount them up even if the rs-3 aren't all the way gone yet....

Re: Fuzion ZRi Close Out $61

Wow that is quite a deal, i might have to pick up a set for the wagon's summers..... was going to spring for conti dw but at just over half the price with only a small ding in grip, considering a change to my plans, thanks for the heads up! They are a bit heavier than the contis as with most bridges...
