Re: FATT - June 5
To me it is like a big autocross. Very tight and not alot of speed if I remember correctly.
No one really has anything going on in June. EMRA is off in June, CDC is off. I think SCCA in DC is even light.

Check craiglist or ebay for cheap trailers. As far as storage most of the storage places have trailer storage for $60.00 - 80.00 per month depending on size.

Which car are you guys talking about guessing what it is?? The car with the fender flares on it is a mid - late 70s Caramo. the red car in the background covered in stuff. Oh, I never even saw a car there until you said something. That looks like the old Capri did or maybe the Dodge Charger, which ...

Re: results are up!
The Subaru guys make speed in the straights because they are fast in the turns. AutoX is all about speed in the turns. Has very little to do with straight line speed. Think of it as a big go kart track. You win in karting by keep momentum up. The more momentum you keep going the faster overall you a...

Re: 8 minute autocross
These are great events. You get an 1 to 1.5 hours of track time spread out over the entire day. If you need instruction the have great instructors there to help you/ride with you. And like Fred said you get between 4 and 6 timed laps during the timing session where you have clear track with what is ...

AutoXing is all about suspension, tires and driver. I was usually in the to 10 - 15 raw time with my FWD Focus on R-Comps. It is supercharged with 250 WHP but even stock I was always in top 20. The place where HP matters is the track. Even then it is as much torque as Hp. A very successful AutoXer t...

Re: Shop that can mount and heat cycle?
I have run 6 or 8 sets of race tires and have never had a set heat cycled. Here is what I have done with 710s, Hoosiers, 888s, ect. I get my guys to mount them. Put them on the car. Go somewhere to a highway that is not overly crowded or congested and drive them for 15 - 20 minutes at speed. Nothing...

Re: Snow at Harry Grove Stadium
When I went by this morning looks like all the snow is gone but there looks to be about an inch of mud, dirt, garbage over the entire lot.
If they can get it cleaned up you should be in good shape.

Re: Snow at Harry Grove Stadium
I drive by every morning. Been dark this week but you can still see 3 - 4 feet of snow covering 90% of the parking lot.
Will need more rain and much more warm weather to make it all go away by next weekend.

Re: Snow at Harry Grove Stadium
I was not worried about the lot condition as much as will all the snow be gone in the next 3 - 4 weeks.
When it is piled that high and stacked like it is, it does not melt as fast as small layers on the ground does.

Man I hope it gets real warm and stays warm for several weeks.
They have snow piled up in the entire parking lot at HGS and it is like 4' - 10' high. They have been stacking it there for the last 3 weeks. It is crazy.

I have run with 3 different groups over the years. Redline Time Attack - Man the 1st couple of years with these guys was a little nuts. Very loose on rules, drivers were crazy, ect. NASA - Have run 2 Hyperfests. Everyone says what a pain it is and a nightmare, blah, blah, blah. Other than them forci...

Another group to try is come run with EMRA at Summit Point. You can run with an instructor and if you get signed off you can run the time trials. http://www.emraracing.org/ A couple of the guys have come out and run with us. Fred Kelley has been to 2 or 3 events. Great group. Very laid back. Inexpen...

Track Rats here is a deal of the Summer
I am posting this for a buddy. This is a full day at Pocono with all 3 tracks open. Hey, gang.... Thanks for a super TT day on August 30. With the exception of a "cosmetic mishap" all went well (except I got beat by a damned Mustang.....). ANYWAY - an invitation to all of the EMRA TT folk...

Re: May 9th event at Summit Point
I really need to get either stiffer springs in the rear or stiffer rear sway....probably both...to get my car to rotate again. In my experience, understeer is best dealt with at the front end. You can stiffen the rear springs or sway, but ultimately you are reducing your rear traction so that it br...
