Re: Need Brakes
So, you're looking for objective research about how multiple different brake pads are in regards to daily/autox/track specific to your car? Sorry, that just won't happen. Everyone who is looking to do that is usually trying to low-buck things. Therefore, they aren't going to have the budget to be go...

Re: CDC 2012 Awards Lunch
HA good luck. It's pretty cool to see all the cars, but it's mostly old guys with their fancy cars showing them off to their buddies. This is as expected, my comment was purely joking. It is very rare that you will find a 'show' car anywhere other then a show, a garage, or in between. I guess I can...

Re: Local Anodizing?
Sorry Eric, I am not local to your area. But here is a company that I use sometimes for work that usually gives pretty damn good prices and turnaround times: http://www.globalmetalfinishing.com/ They do free shipping on first order too, dunno if that is only for commercial customers or not. They don...

Re: CDC 2012 Awards Lunch
JuanDecaf is spot on, Hard-Times doesn't usually have pool tables. I believe the ones in Hagerstown and Woodbridge have them as well, but they are each a little far from the city/beltway.

Re: CDC 2012 Awards Lunch
I am (of course) for Hard Times again, for all of the reasons listed by Ed previously. I do wish that there was a similar place on the Md side of DC to share the driving load for everyone. I tried Googling, but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I looked for places with billiards and the rest of the...

Re: Teams?
Think 4 member teams.2 members of which had to have finished in the bottom half for 2012. Scoring would be the fastest on the team combined with the fastest time of the slowest team member. A team this large with only 2 times counting on any given day would increase the chances every team would hav...
Re: Teams?
With most Noobs only participating once or twice, I would assume you would only have the event for one event at a time rather than something that lasts the entire season with a certain number of dropped events?? What would you consider a Noob (someone that has never autox or only did it once, twice...
Re: Teams?
How about a Pro w/ Noob division: Every race someone with experience (year or two with CDC) has to pick one of the newbies (never autox'd before) as their running partner. It will be scored by best cumulative finish according to standard Index rules (i.e. 5th and 33rd = 19 lowest average finish wins...

Thanks for posting the photos. They are great. Even caught the spec7 with a wheel up.
Awesome job, I really enjoyed clicking through all of them. Keep em coming next year.

Glad to hear you made it home without a tow though. I'll try to bring stronger zip ties next time, or at least more of them
Did you figure out the roll-over protection yet? Are they a one time thing and need to be replaced or can you reset them?

Re: WTB: Used 225/50-16
Here's some pics, they aren't at the wear-bars yet, but getting close. Only one corner of the tire is worn (due to stock camber). I was going to flip them on the rims and use them for another season, but have been having too much fun with the Spec7. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-8I15tgJQyrQ/UEY...

Re: Where do you get your tires mounted?
Cheapest is Costco. I've had good results there. I dont really care about my rims, though they havent damaged them yet. I think $9 per wheel and $1 per tire for disposal if you need it.

Re: WTB: Used 225/50-16
Have a set of Star-Specs for you of that size from my FD. I was thinking about stepping up to a bigger wheel/tire combo for that car anyway. They should definitely last through the end of the season. I'll try and get some pics of them so you can see tread depth.

WTB: Kirkey 36-Series Racing Seat
Just what the title says, I need a Kirkey to put on the passenger side of the blue Spec-7. I want to match the driver seat as close as possible. Seat cover included would be a plus. Interested in Part Numbers: 36500 - 16" hip width (preferred) 36700 - 17" hip width 36900 - 18" hip width

Re: Should we index for tire width too?
This is my point. Yes, weight is already an index. But if you indexed tire widths, you'd have to have separate indexes for different weights. For instance, running 275s on a Miata might be a 1.02 multiplier, but running 275s on my Muscle-Car/Land-Yacht might be a 0.99. I understand your point, but ...
