Re: Tech Inspection Question

You will be fine ...

But did you try to properly bed the pads. That will help with stopping and usually noise.

T-70 Torx

I know there are a lot of subaru owners around.

I need to borrow a T-70 Torx to drain my transmission fluid. Anyone have one around Bethesda or North on 95 that would let me borrow it?

Thanks.

Re: Last CDC Autocross of the season

I had a great season! It seems like a lot of other people feel that way as well. I would like to personally thank all the organizers and participants for making this season so great. I would also like to thank everyone that helped deal with my dog yesterday. She had a blast and I hope she wasn't too...

Re: AndrewTech's Halloween TNT AutoX Sunday Oct 31st

Andrew is more than welcome to drive my miata ... There are a lot faster miatas and a lot of miatas with better tires, but he is welcome to drive mine.

Besides ... it will give him a better idea for the car when they have to align it this winter anyway

... did you set fire to your interior ... why do you need all these replacement pannels?

How did the passenger door pannel work out?

Re: 92 Miata

I have something that is exactly the same but polyurethane ... it was for my passat, but it is too shallow for the miata and I have been thinking about trying to cut some out of it.

That looks like a cool product though.

Re: WTB: Miata Door Speaker Covers/Grilles

I feel like a junk yard might be your best bet ... but I think the grills are part of the cover as well. The drivers side came unglued and was taped and cracked and I threw it out when I put my seat in because the seat didn't clear the door pannel. I was expecting to give you the entire door trim as...

I hope you already fixed this, but for anyone else who has this issue, this PDF has a nice picture of the rear rocker drains.

Re: WTB: Miata Door Speaker Covers/Grilles

I will give you my passenger side ... My drivers side was broken and in the dumpster already. AFAIK the speak works, but the trim is in great shape. I won't be at the halloween auto-x but I will be at the one in November if you can wait or we can figure something out. Its going in the dumpster soon ...

Re: 92 Miata

there are drains under the car at the back of the rocker. Basically, go to the back of the door, then towards the rear another couple inches and under the car. There is a rubber tube that sticks out and I'm sure they are clogged. I would suggest cleaning them out. The drain starts at the base of the...

Re: boss frog door bars

Thanks for the info. I want to get those eventually as well ...

I was talking about the door bars, not the frog arms. On the miata, the door bars go from the seatbelt retractor (exactly where my roll bar bolts) to the floor near the dead petal.

Any info on door bars?

boss frog door bars

Does anyone have any experience with this product.

I have someone that wants to deliver a slightly used pair for $120 tonight and I don't want to spend the money if it will only add weight and holes in my car without really stiffening the car.

TIA

Don't know what you are doing ... but use the long bolt method, it is much easier.

If I can attend I can help ... I think I'm out of town this weekend though

Re: 09/12 T&T (aka Run-Fest 2010)

You can't use that move. I trademarked that earlier in the season. It is amazing how much easier it is to threshold brake at the track vs. in Auto-X. At the track you have all the time in the world to prepare for braking, commence braking, and perform threshold braking. At Auto-X, it is all gas, br...

he was deciding how sideways he should be that run ... or if he should try a spin out to reverse j-turn again the pic is great ... I love the detail of the rust in the rear quarter pannel :D this is my failing to understand how to drive a car without ABS http://www.mikedugganphotography.com/Cars/CDC...

Re: stuck brake rotors

update: I got one side ... apparently the parking brake assembly (disk brake in the hat (drum) of the rear rotor didn't want to give up. I adjusted the shoes so that they were the furthest away from the rotor as possible, but no only was the rust holding the rotor on, one of the shoes was "stuc...
