Re: Labor Day weekend

maybe putting in the manual steering rack that has been laying on my guest room floor next to the r-comps for 3 months or so. I don't think you'll like that... manual racks are really slow... it'll be like driving my corolla :P Dave has a manual rack as do a lot of miatas. I am a little worried abo...

Re: Labor Day weekend

I had the same reaction. I never look anywhere but CDC for auto-x events but I was looking everywhere I could for something this coming weekend. I guess I will have to spend the time cutting my fenders to fit the r-comps I bought 5 or 6 months ago and maybe putting in the manual steering rack that h...

Re: 1993 Red Miata $2800 firm

Picked up the car and it needed a better top, airbag control module, rear finish pannel and rear bumper paint was chipped. Fixed everything and now its ready for sale. Zero idea about the timing belt/water pump but the cluch was apparently just replaced and the car is really fun to drive. It is a gr...

The outside-the-car view didn't give me a great idea of the actual course, but it did give me awesome audio from the timing tent going wild

Re: Flyin' Miata frame rail reinforcement

Thanks for the information. I never read too much about it, but how do you re-route the fuel/brake lines. Does the kit come with lines, do you buy more line or just bend the existing lines. Do you have to do anything about bleeding the fuel line, or just the let car stumble for a second once restart...

thats awesome ... congrats on the install This has been on my list of to-do's for awhile now. I have been looking at the other alternatives to FM. I still do not have a good handle on which frame rail set is best for the money. I would also want to do the butterfly section as I don't really street m...

Re: SLR camera

I picked up a D60 kit for around 700 two years back. The best deals are on the entry level bodies that come with two lenses. I got my camera, a 18-55mm lense and a 55-200 mm lense for around $700 or so. I know that the D60 really isn't sold anymore, but there are still deals on similar newer cameras...

Re: James Wood (Winchester) 8/7/10

I feel like an idiot... I printed my bar code at the begining and I knew it would still work, although we changed the format to be better for almost everyone. But I was being lazy. I guess its time to re-print my index (notice my index says I have r-comps, yet I have been too busy to cut my fenders ...

Re: James Wood (Winchester) 8/7/10

I thought that we didn't use an index for SB. I know that my time was indexed for SB, but since it didn't change the results at all I didn't say anything.

I looked at a couple others and it looks like their SB time was their raw time, so again, I didn't say anything.

Re: cheap lighweight battery

there was an article saying they were running a 130 CCA battery for a SM. They did say that it wouldn't start in freezing temps but had no other issues during the three years they had it. So, 130 CCA might be enough for me because I never DD my car, but if you want to drive your car in the winter at...
