Re: Fire Extinguisher
I keep one in my car as well. Of course, if your engine catches on fire, you probably just want to let it burn. And most fire extinguishers will eat through rubber (not sure about Halon). The main reason I keep it is to keep a little problem from turning into a big one (brakes, maybe). I've seen car...

Re: Lighter wheels or suspension upgrade?
First and foremost, do you have tires? I rode with you at Woodbridge, the car felt great, but lacked grip. If you are running the MIni GP (as I recall), I'd throw on some good tires (or a separate set of wheels with new tires) and call it a day. Minis out of the box are pretty cool. Other than that,...

Unless my coilovers are magically warped from San Diego to NoVA, they won't be on by saturday. For the record Fatcat Motorsports does not deliver there products on time, they don't return emails, but they sure will cash the check as soon as they get it. Without coilovers, the wheels I have won't fi...

I should be out with the new MIata setup. I'll probably be finishing suspension work in the parking lot (paging Dan & Franklin).

Re: Bowie on Saturday August 28th
I am pretty sure its just air in the lines at least that's what I am hoping. But its only when they get hot. When on the street they feel pretty good, not brand new good, but they don't fade like they were after 2 runs auto-xing. Also the pads are Hawk HPS, so they should be able to handle auto-x j...

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say hi...this will be my first autocross event ever, and I'm really looking forward to it. To bad the weather may be a problem. It will be awesome to really see what my MINI can do. I wish I would have found out about autocross sooner, it looks like a blast. See you to...

Re: Your opinion - which autocrosses did you like/hate?
I was very excited about Summit at first. The surface has its limitations, but I don't hate it. It forces you to drive smoothly. What I did not like about the venue is the lack of run off room. The dirt (mud) circles are filled with rocks and logs, an off can cause some damage. Tire walls were stack...

Re: Suggestions for Next Season, Small Bore and Beyond
I might as well weigh in. Novice class was brought up before (maybe by me). I like the idea to promote new drivers like Denise. Some clubs have a novice class where if you win an event, then you can not compete in novice class again. It deters "ringers" from winning the entire season in a ...

We'll have to wait for the official results to come out, but it looks like I got Matt by a point or so for the season championship. (Mike Moran had the most points, but as an organizer wasn't eligible for the championship). I didn't start the season with the intention of competing, but it got very e...

Re: HGS, fairwell to 2009 CDC ax season
Personally, I had a blast this year. I think I did over 30 events with 3 clubs over the last 8 months. That's roughly one a weekend. In one case, I went to three autocrosses in two days. I met a lot of new people, got to play with cars, and hopefully became a better driver. I have mixed emotions abo...

I have actually done this. 1972 Camaro vs a Jeep wrangler. Axles chained together.JoeTR6 wrote:Tug-of-war. I'd like to see what happens when the Suxass is chained to a Cobra.
The Camaro won heartily. It dragged the jeep with 4 spinning wheels down the road.
