Re: why don't you see car x autocrossing?

What about a pre 1987 Dodge Daytona turbo? Woody has (or had?) one. It was hilarious. Made all sorts of spaceship noises and had a turbo boost accumulator in the trunk but looked like a real handful to drive, to say the least. Plus they have a tendency for parts to fall off while driving down the r...

I don't recall if the Goodridge lines are coated or not. Either way, I've had them on for 3-4 years now and have had no problems.

Re: Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line Recommendations

James399 lines are not JDM. They are made in the USA. If you register you can see the original GB thread where he goes into detail. http://revlimiter.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/DSC_3383.jpg The quality of these lines is off the scale . I've seen and installed (on other cars) many other bran...

Re: Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line Recommendations

I'm content with my Goodridge lines from Mazdaspeed. The price was right. Nowadays the hot ticket appears to be some custom lines from james399 over at Club Roadster. See Adam's review of this product by clikcing here.

Re: Major Changes In The Works

The changeover is in the works. I've transferred all the files and databases to the new host and done some testing of the blog, reservation system, and forum. All appears to work again but until they see a real load it's hard to say. I'm going to change the DNS settings to redirect users to the new ...

Major Changes In The Works

Yahoo!, our web host provider, has never been great and lately they've done some things that really harm the site. Our online reservation system no longer works as it should and our forum keeps getting shut down due to a mysql database table that gets hung up. All of it is related to Yahoo!'s server...

Re: miata "racing" seats

Kirkey aluminum seat. There are several models available. You just missed out on this set that sold for $300 shipped but even new they aren't too pricey if you stick with the basic models. They're ugly but nothing gets you lower short of molding a bag seat to the floorpan.

Re: Getting Cool Air Into the Miata Engine Bay

If you have free time and want to browse all the different headlamp intake lids and TSIs people have put on their Miatas check out this link on Carview Minkara, which is like Cardomain but better. The only downside is the website is intended for Japanese users so language can be a challenge but I'm ...

Re: Getting Cool Air Into the Miata Engine Bay

I don't see any significant benefit (other than looks) to running TSIs or headlamp intake lids unless you are running forced induction and are making much more power and generating much more heat than stock. Of course cooler IATs theoretically means denser air which theoretically means more power bu...

Re: Lexus RXh (the h stands for hypocrite)

I don't think it's only about highway fuel economy. The VA HOV lane exemption for hybrid vehicles is just one of many incentives for people to purchase hybrid vehicles. Government is encouraging people to seek out these new technology vehicles in hopes that greater hybrid sales will lower costs thus...

Your point has been discussed many times over the past years with heated ...
