The guys I talked to Barry over at RRT said from what he heard the guy went off 10 somehow.
They shut the track down for almost 3.5 hours to get the car out of the woods.
Must have been a pretty big off in that area to end up in the woods.

Re: Summit Point Main Track
Don't know how reliable but have heard it from 2 different shops in the area that run up there quite a bit. The guy that owns the place told of the shop owners personally, according ot hte shop owner I was not there, that he was not going to sink any more money into the place. Now he might have just...

Re: Summit Point Main Track
There are quiet rumors floating around that the track owner is not going to put any more money into the place.
Could this be the beginning of the end of another race track in our area?

This weekend will be a good test of the paving job.
NASA is always tough on the pavement when they run full sessions and fields for 2 days.

Did the Scion get rebuilt?
Anyone know if they have gotten the Scion rebuilt yet after attacking the wall at Shenandoah at the Redline event?

Check with Jake Moran.
I know they are a Subaru shop but he might take on more than just Subaru stuff at Andrewtech.

Anyone know if this is true or not?

Summit Point Track Day October 20th
Saw this on the Focus site I am on all the time thought some of you guys might be interested. Good afternoon all. Lindsay Cadillac is hosting an open track day on Summit Point’s main circuit, October 20th for all to attend. The $260 entry fee includes six 20-minute run sessions for each of the three...

Re: New Jersey Motorsports Park
I think I have a new favorite track at least to instruct on... Lighting is smooth, lots of run off and well thought out. The track offically opened July 5th and although the track complex isn't even near complete it's already better than most. SCCA did a PDX yesterday between the heats of a regiona...

Re: Summit Point August 17th
Most of the HPDE stuff last year was run by GetFast out of Richmond, Va. I assume that is the same this year since John from GetFast is also the NASA Time Trial coordinator and I need to get a check ride by him to be able to TT with NASA. I would assume he would run the HPDE with Redline the same, m...

Re: Summit Point August 17th
Seemed to be everywhere. A couple in the Carosel. Either blowing the corner and hitting the wall passanger side first. 1 over the hill. 1 pitched out of the bowl 1 on the backstretch. Dropped 2 wheels off on the left coming through what everyone there was calling Little Bend and jerked it back on ca...

I just talked to Nikolas from Redline.
He told me they are in talks to move the event to the Main track next year.
MIght be a little less carnage.

Re: Summit Point August 17th
From my count there were 9 cars wrecked during the 2 day event and at least 4 blown up that I have heard of. That is the only thing I don't like about the Redline events is they get out of hand at times. Crash count was 2 S2000 - Saturday in HPDE 2 Corvettes - Saturday in HPDE 1 BMW M3 - Total loss ...

Modifed FWD just keeps getting more interesting. Another driver has signed up and all 3 guys are within 1 second of each other last year.

Re: Summit Point August 17th
If all things stay equal it should be pretty tight with Justin in the XA. He autocrossed with CDC a couple of times out at Manassas. He ran last year at the Redline event also. I think I was 1 or 2 seconds faster than him last year. Hopefully my times will improve a little due to better driving and ...

Re: Summit Point August 17th
I'm going to be in Cumberland Fri and Saturday. My engineer, er ah, the cars owner will be doing the HPDE in the coupe on Saturday. He's a great guy, as long as he doesn't wreak it or beat me. Man could Redline have picked a worse weekend. Cumberland, SCCA in FedEx, there is something else going on...

Little bit of a funds crunch. I will have my green tent up with the Strikeforce banner. I am hoping to get over around the sna...

Re: Summit Point August 17th
I am planning to give it another try in something a little speedier than last year. The field is pretty small due to the Fed Ex conflict and a few other local events. It will be a great time to get lots of time with just a few other cars per group with fairly even times. They are still looking for ...

Re: Noble is out of commission
whew, that noble wreck was scary. Almost looks like the white stock car didn't know he was there at all. He didn't give him any room from the very beginning. That was not the smartest place to try and pass a guy anyway. The esses are tough enough for 1 car to get through let alone 2 wide. Impatient...

Re: New Jersey Motorsports Park
It was 3.5 hours from Frederick. Probably only be around 2.45 or 3 hours from Baltimore. Not bad at all. I went up and stayed Friday night about 30 minutes from the track. It was only $85.00 for the night then I drove home after the event on Saturday night. I took exit 2 off the Jersey turnpike and ...
