Re: small bore r-less

NO NO Frank--- NO Hoosiers for you!! don't worry . . .yet. i just want to test fit them to see if they'll rub. not to run tomorrow's ax in them. if they don't rub, then i'll be looking to buy a set for next year. 13x9 real racing wheels with 6" BS will clear NA brakes. The 13x10 6" BS nee...

Re: small bore r-less

Unfortunately I would be placed and destroyed in DSP if I ran r-comps..the EX and SI models are placed there and lower models run FSP. either way, I highly doubt I could fit those wheels on my car, it's just too low and would probably rub like crazy on the fender. I guess we could try? I'm sure my ...

Re: R-comps in small bore

I know they calculate PAX based on a large sample of results in different regions, but it still puzzles me a bit that ES and STS didn't get any closer in the new PAX index. On fast courses on top of high grip concrete at Nationals, STS was a few SECONDS faster than ES. ES ran in drying conditions a...

Re: Nationals Results

The first timing system used by CDC back in 2003 was borrowed from MSCW and if I recall correctly it had no way of recording times and penalties. It was just a timer and a little PA system and the organizers wrote all the car numbers and times down on a notepad. Correct. MSCW is still using the sys...

Re: July 25th Woodbridge Autox

Yes, working heat 4 does blow @ SCCA. I do my best to make heat 4 the smallest that I can while still having workers for the next heat at the SCCA events but it does seem to take a while to run. I need to start timing it and get some actual data on how long it is now (I think it has gotten shorter ...

Re: Co-Drivers

Are you providing a setup car or are you working together to set it up? Does either of you provide additional skills/services to the car/autox?(installation of parts, better driver helping the other learn, data acquisition, setup knowledge) All those can be a factor in pricing. For a single event I ...

Re: Need Help getting Noble classes for SCCA

Right now the SCCA doesnt know what to make of the Noble, so they just havent classed it. Which means a big hastle if I try to run at one of their events, so I haven't gone. I personnaly like the club feel of the CDC more than the competion and strict rules style of the SCCA. But some of the other ...

Having people pre-pay does not force them to show up in bad weather.

Yes you have the money to pay for the lot but you still may not have enough workers and might have to rearrange heats to get enough workers to work the course.

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009

Makes sense. Is there a way to enforce this with treadwear numbers instead of makes? NASA uses 40 treadwear as their cutoff. Quote from NASA rules. 1) DOT-approved R-compound tires with a UTQG treadwear rating of 40 or less (ex. BFG R1, Hankook Z214, Hoosier R6 & A6, Kumho V710, etc.—note: G.A....

For instance, I would still like to see a special "bracket" auto-x event where competitors "dial-in" a time and then try to run it without going faster. They do this at the Mazda Zoom Zoom live events but they have already set the time. At one DC SCCA charity event we had a pool...

I hope it does not rain. I ended up having to take the MSP to cumberland because of the rain and I was hoping to get the miata out and burn off the last bits of inside tread on the old RT-615's before I mount up the bridgestones next year.
