Re: Track Wheels

http://www.mazdatalkforum.com/download/file.php?id=449 Konig just got back with me and said they are still offering the deal, so i pulled the trigger on a set of 4. My car is lighter and i'm running smaller tires, so i guess i am a little less worried for my integra than your R53. The Jongbloed whe...

Re: Track Wheels

Konig is offering the 4x100 15x8 flatout to nasa racers for $70 a pop. Could replace every year or two at that price.

Re: Track Wheels

So, this strikes me as pretty surprising, but i've been reading about all these different wheels, cheap to expensive, that have cracked or even failed catastrophically. You know which wheel has never been mentioned? Tirerack TR Motorsports. They're cheap, reasonably light, and very available. It see...

Re: Track Wheels

So 949 racing wheels may not be invincible either: http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=3118761 Maybe they were driving like jerks...? Also, this may be for the gen 2 wheels version. However, the consensus seems to be if you are running thin spoke, lightweight wheels on track, check them frequentl...

Re: Track Wheels

Glad to hear the mini is back together. I just got done welding in a 6-point roll bar with a friend. I also upper the spring rates, changed my front camber, and added some oil pressure & temperature gauges. My kumhos are pretty shot, but i'm using this event for the TT check ride so i can start ...

Re: Track Wheels

I think the fact the mini is heavier and less evenly distributed than a miata/e30 just puts a real pounding into the front wheels. :? This was my first thought... I could probably run the same wheels on my integra for many seasons, and since i have less weight and less power it probably wouldn't be...

Re: TrackDaze Shenandoah October

That is incredibly frusterating! Enkei wheels? It's good the failure didn't happen until the later part of the karrusel, because if you went off earlier you might have hit the outside wall. I'm really sorry to see it happen.

Re: TrackDaze Shenandoah October

Quick question for you guys. I got my annual inspection sticker at the last TrackDaze event. Does this mean I can fill out the tech inspection form myself or do I still have to take it to some sort of shop to get inspected? I know I can skip the even tech line, but it seemed like I still needed to ...

Re: TrackDaze Shenandoah October

Our lap times are pretty close. It's a shame we aren't running the same group. My times were around 1'45" and when I didn't hit traffic my times were within a second of each other. I have done some minor weight reduction since then so we'll see what it drops to!

TrackDaze Shenandoah October

I'm signed up for both days (black integra #512) along with my dad (dark green eXpresso neon #531). At the last event, Dave Valeri and I mixed it up with the Golden boys (Mike and Jim). Eric W was there with his miata and ACooperR was there with his Mini S. Anyone else thinking or planning on attend...

Re: Small Bore vehicles and allowed mods?

I have the 1992 acura integra RS. it has the original 1.8L non-VTEC engine, 140HP, so on-par with miatas. It's about as quick as Dave Valeri's miata at road courses. It's FWD layout is similar to the smallbore-approved civic, except it's heavier which puts me at an additional disadvantage. It's a ch...
