R comps on wheels
This one is for all those who complain about not having r comps in small bore. Here's a great introductory to r comps for autocross. Not the best wheel nor are these the best r comps. But it's hard to beat used r comps mounted and balanced on wheels, all for only $400. I used this set when I was sec...

man, I went to 1 AI event and got a first place magnet... you guys must be doing it wrong ;) well, actually by my calculations (see a few posts earlier), that one magnet cost is your car, all the other autocross entry fees (to get you your driver skills to enter that one autox and win), all your mo...

Re: Philly SCCA Autocross on 2/21
I am known as the "magnet beggar" in 2007-8. I got people to give me their magnets that they don't want and constantly complain about not able to win a magnet. People were so annoyed by my tactics that Josh Luster (some of you know them) custom made me a first place magnet cone just to ke...

i think that's a project for the next CAR tech day. i still think cdc should have a tech day. too many projects and not enough knowledge/confidence to work on it on my own.Claff wrote: If I knew how to make a stand I'd have one in a second. i hurt my elbow at the very beginning of this year. before it completely healed, i came down with a 102.7 fever. as the fever broke, i developed a crazy cough. was diagnosed at pneumonia. 10 days after antibiotics, i went to another doctor seeing i wasn't getting any better. was prescribed another a...

Re: Philly SCCA Autocross on 2/21
I live in Fairfax. It's 3+ hrs, one way. 6 hrs of driving round trip is too much in a car w/no heat, no radio, no comfort and a motor that likes to give me issues during inopportune moments. wus Just say the word and we will put your kart together. You have to get Justin's motor somehow though. Ed ...

Frank, you going to be fully recovered by then? Decent chance we can get your kart ready in time... have no clue. i'm at a starbucks right now. it's my brave venture to go outside. this is the 3rd time out of the house in 3 weeks. hopefully it's not too optimistic to say i should be fully recovered...

Philly SCCA Autocross on 2/21
Not a CDC Event. I normally wouldn't post another club's event here. But figure most of us are anxious to autocross during the CDC off-season, it couldn't hurt to pass on the info. There's an autox on 2/21 sponsored by the Philly SCCA. I've been there once and thought it was OK. They had walk up reg...

there's no mention of summit. does that mean no summit for 2010? just curious. i personally didn't care too much for it. but thought it was good practice. and i liked watching the track during down times.

Looks good to me. I also agree that Small Bore should be kept the same. I think we debated the r comp too much in small bore considering that it was more of an attendance award. Since AJ, Edwin and quite a few others would probably have won it without r comps if they showed up more.

CDC allow carts? Not sure what the official stance is. If not, any chance this is up for discussion? If so, please let us know.

Re: HGS, fairwell to 2009 CDC ax season
Personally, I had a blast this year. I think I did over 30 events with 3 clubs over the last 8 months. That's roughly one a weekend. In one case, I went to three autocrosses in two days. I met a lot of new people, got to play with cars, and hopefully became a better driver. I have mixed emotions ab...

Re: R-comps in small bore
Keep the R comps in small bore. R comps is just one of many mods you can do in small bore. If you buy used, it could be one of the cheapest mods with the most benefit. I think a good suspension upgrade probably benefits in better times than r comps. So if we eliminate R comps from small bore, do we ...
