Re: Cancelled - November 15th CDC AutoX Bowie, MD

Ed, the shoe string setup sounds good. My only comment would be the timing by stopwatch. I'm not sure if we could get a high level of accuracy with stopwatches. Granted, it's only for fun, but part of the fun is seeing how your times stack up.

I'll call you this weekend, Mike. You may want to edit your last post and take your phone # down. It's not always a good idea to put your phone number or email on messageboards.

All tires are shaved. Depths for the Toyos range from 1/32 to 3/32. Priced to move, $30/tire.

FS: Wheels and Lots of tires. Toyo RA1 and Hoosier A6

My co-worker asked me to help sell some stuff. Toyo RA1 205/50/15 - 6 or 7 sets of them (off of a miata) Hoosier A6 275/40/17 - 2 used sets. One brand new (off of a Cobra) Team Dynamics 15x7 12 spoke wheels. Very light wheels for spec miata. Cash preferred, pickup in Gainesville, VA preferred. This ...

Re: Improvements for CDC Indexing for 2009

I am in favor of the current system. It's easy, it's simple. I like the fact that I compete against a variety of cars in the 1.01 class. I like that little mods don't bump me into a class that I don't want to be in. I have heard no gripes other than that people are not putting down the correct modif...

Re: Safety

I suggested a long time ago having a corner captain (holds radio and unfurled flag and acts as spotter for runners) and 1 or more runners at every corner station. The corner captain would be a worker with some experience. thats how it should be IMO. i do believe for SCCA, they assign an experienced...

Results are now posted http://www.capitaldrivingclub.com/results.html Kyle/somebody, Under the "2008 Driver Championship Points" table, it looks like some names are listed separately as opposed to being added together. I am listed twice as: "Mark A 85" for the 3/30 event "M...

Re: SATurday April 12th at Bowie Baysox - CANCELLED

In retrospect, good call on cancelling last week. SCCA insisted on running the event today. They had to cancel the event before half of the people got to go. I spent 5 hours out there and didn't get one run. I would have rather had it called off than wasted my entire day.

Re: Parking Lot Suggestions Wanted

I had a professional certification test on friday at the Kena temple in Fairfax (shriners). HUGE parking lot. Kind of narrow, but very autocrossable, and centrally located. I don't know if anyone has ever looked into it. http://tileprint.web.mapquest.com/tileprint.php?type=hyb&size=650,571&s...
