Storage
Need room to store tires, wheels, etc? The garage where we store the trailer has some free space upstairs at a cheap price.
$30/month for up to 30 square ft (after that $1 per square ft per month).

My Favorite Pizza Place
Here's my vote for the best Pizza in the DC area, Cafe Pizzaiolo (703-894-2250) located in Crystal City on 23rd St. Their pizza dough is made fresh each day with super fresh ingredients. Their Neopolitan Pizza has fresh bassel, and I like it with roasted garlic (also super fresh). Their pizza is the...

Mark Duck House
If you want to try an authenic Hong Kong style Chinese food, Mark Duck is a great place. The Dim Sum is good and averages about $20 a person. Dinner is also good. My favorite is the Roast Duck stuffed with Taro. Mark Duck is located on Route 50 in the Wilson Shopping Center in the 7 Corners Area (ju...

Tropic Thunder
Saw Tropic Thunder Last Saturday. Although it got good reviews, I was expecting a stupid movie that wasn't funny. I was surprised! It was a Good movie that was super funny (but still a little stupid). One thing I thought that was going to be dumb was that they are fighting the VC in 2008? Come on! H...

Re: Leaking Tire Stem
Here's the update... I got a new tire stem and brought the old one to Chris. Turns out the EHA stem was made by Dill and a defective stem. To add insult to injury, the new tire stem is also made by Dill. A few years ago, most of the material in the stem was made with a super strong synthetic plastic...

Leaking Tire Stem
The CDC trailer had a flat tire last week, and I found out that it's due to a dry-rot tire stem. This stem was installed in March 2007 (not very old). I found that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a safety recall on Dill tire stems. I talked to the investigator (Chris La...

Re: Revised small bore class
Maybe we could just say 5 of the lowest events would be dropped, this way if anyone misses or has already missed one race they won't be out of the running. That might be the easiest thing to do. As it stands now if anyone can't make it to any of the upcoming races or has missed one event already th...

Re: Revised small bore class
Ed, that's another good reason to say the season technically started July 5th and carry over points for Sean who only seemed to race twice so far anyways. This way it will be more competitive because you could still drop some times. As it stands now if anyone missed an event or couldn't race their ...

Re: Noble is out of commission
That's too bad! Is a clutch job hard to do on that car? In any case, I agree a clutch is better than smashing up agaist the wall. I would say that I know how your friend feels about hitting a wall, but my fix was only a a few dollars in purchasing some hardware (and using a spare fender that I alrea...

Re: Best of Noble Autocross Video
That's pretty cool. How much time did that take to put that together?
I want to put together a video when I get my Sprite on the road. I want to make it look like Rocco (the dog) is driving the car.

Re: July 20th Test & Tune at Harry Grove
To be honest, I was afraid that if we made it a regular points event, we would have too much demand and have to turn away too many or our members. Typically, the events would have real light attendance in June thru August. We even tried to drum up participation this time last year. For some werid re...

PWE - Penn West Energy Trust
My friend, Gary, told me about Penn West Energy Trust (symbol PWE). The stock is a Canadian Engery holding company for oil and natural gas. This is now my favorite stock for the following reasons: 1. Current annual divendends are at 12% and are given monthly rather than quarterly 2. Investing in an ...

The timing tent also has a pyrometer (IR type with laser spotter that measures surface-not as accurate as the probe type that penatrates into the rubber but still handy). We just need to make sure to have a fresh 9 volt battery for it. Anyone is welcome to use it.

Congratulations to Ed and Monica
Monica (Ed O'Donnell's wife) gave birth to Mathew Rhys O'Donnell today at 2:13 pm.
Mathew was born 22 1/2" long and weighed in at 9 lbs, 3 oz. Both mother and baby are doing fine.
Ed said that he still plans to attend and organize the July 5th autox at Harry Grove!

Re: Hiatus
I found out from Joe Macinnes last night that we won't be able to get a June date at Harry Grove. We also won't be able to get a VA date for June. In short, we won't be having a June autocross. I know a lot of participants and organizers are disappointed, included myself. It's too bad that we don't ...

Feedback from the June 1st Rally
For those that participanted in the rally yesterday, please reply and let us know what things would make future rallies better. 1. Should we have the Start and Finish at the same location? 2. Should the event be shorter or longer? 3. What did you think of the route? 4. Any other comments. You can al...
