Re: What to do with my decaying Miata...

If you're looking to sell I'm looking to buy another Miata ;) I want to build an auto-x/ track day car.

But I do like your idea of the FM Westfield.

Re: INDEX SYSTEM

I spoke with Cuong and Toan at Ptuning yesterday and they favor a system similar to Redline Time Attack or NASA Time Trials that give the tuners lots of flexibility to showcase innovation without scrutinizers fussing over the details too much. BTW, Kyle, I've entered a PAX every time I've registered...

Re: RSS Feed

I've updated the forum software to include both Atom and RSS feed capability. I've tested it with IE7.0 and it works fine but there is a problem with Firefox. Apparently, Firefox doesn't support the Atom feed natively. When I attempt to subscribe I get a blank live bookmark page. Unfortunately, when...

Re: INDEX SYSTEM

I don't want to come across as being an over zealous supporter of the current CDC index. Like all systems it has its shortcomings. I just think we must careful consider any proposed changes to make sure they're feasible and match up with the guiding philosophies of our club. This is why we're having...

Re: INDEX SYSTEM

I am racing against the clock and myself, no one else. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at SCCA there is no one champion, there are only class champions. Is the index is just for giggles then?

Re: INDEX SYSTEM

half of the total cumulative points are based on raw times (favoring fast cars) I think the raw times reward fast drivers in fast cars. If the raw times only rewarded fast cars the Cobras would always win and every S2000 owner would tie with Pete G and every Subaru STi owner would finish somewhere ...

Re: INDEX SYSTEM

I'm happy that people are finally starting to use this forum to talk about our events. The index system is hotly debated and many of you have expressed your opinion and frustration over at the NASIOC Subaru forum discussion "CDC AutoX Scoring Sytem POLL" . Everybody has their opinion, the ...

Re: Tango Electric Commtuer Car

Yikes that thing is narrow! Tandem seating like in the new Caparo T1 is cool but I'd be worried about this car's crashworthiness. I guess if it's strictly used for auto-x it'd be okay. Despite the tall SUV looks I bet this thing has a reasonably low center of gravity given the weight of the batterie...

Parking Lot Suggestions Wanted

We're always looking for new venues to host auto-x events. Finding suitable venues to race is probably the club's biggest challenge. If anyone has any recommendations please post 'em up here. Good candidates will be large, open lots with few or no lamp posts or other obstructions such as trees or is...

RSS Feed

phpBB3.0 doesn't offer a built-in RSS feed. There are some MODs which might work but nothing is officially supported by the developers our forum software. This seems kind of ridiculous given the availability of RSS feeds for their old phpBB2.0. I'll do some more digging and see what I can find. This...

Re: CDC hats, shirts, etc....do we have any for sale?

If there's sufficient interest I can setup an online store so people can buy CDC merchandise. Right now participants purchase merchandise at our events. The club uses merchandise sales as a fund raiser to pay for trophies. If we go to CafePress or some other outside provider the prices may increase ...
