Re: membership questions

Have the ideas of a season pass (pay one lump amount to partake in any events of the season) or pay additional to run in multiple heats been brought up previously?

Re: Summit skidpad

I liked it a lot too although it is quite the drive from nova area. It was like a mini road course which was different and for newer folks (like me) like it was easly to have the course down just from the walk. It seemed to be slippery from both the dirt and being new asphalt maybe. Between that and...

Re: course design.

Glad I am starting off at the beginning of the season then, laugh. So then would a designer have two plans (one for wet one for dry) for an event until close to event time when the weather would be know for certain?

Re: course design.

As a side note to course design, is there a difficulty pattern? For example, do the courses increase in difficulty in general as the season progresses or do certain sites incur a more difficult or complex course then others?

thanks,

Re: membership questions

Great feedback Kyle, thanks. Glad to know I can complete mods for personal reasons and not have it effect AX with CDC.

Re: set up info

Thanks for the info. My (albeit once) experience was that after the start I stayed in 2nd gear as well. Good to know as that is one less thing to worry about.

intro

So being new to CDC I figured an intro is in order.. My name is John N, I live in Fairfax and I am new to AX, having only done one event at the test and tune last month at Harry Grove. I have a 2008 blue mx-5 prht that is my daily driver and now ax car. I previously was bike only for transport for a...

set up info

For those on street tires, how much PSI over stock do you normally run? Do you change for wet/dry conditions? Any other mx-5 NCs?

Is the cg lock really helpful?

Do you heel/toe or shift normally?

thanks!

Re: membership questions

Thanks Gonz! That has been my plan so far. So your advice is to just do it. I had seen the scca novice school and thought that would help speed up the learning curve however I think it conflicts with Summit so I chose that, plus of course the price had an effect as well. I attended the tnt at Harry ...

Re: membership questions

Thanks for the reply Ed, I will give it some thought & let you know if I have any ideas. Also, although new to ax and the club, if there is any way I can assist with things, let me know!

Re: Summit skidpad

How does 2 cars running at once work? How does that effect the workers and the other driver? Damn, hope that doesn't mean a slow newbie like me will be holding somebody up behind.. :)

membership questions

Being a new member, I was curious if CDC has scheduled meetings or gt's (get togethers)? tech days? Also does the club offer an autocross school? How frequently are fun runs held, I see info mentioned from yast year.
thanks!

Re: 03/28/09-03/29/09 Auto-X

Hey, just wanted to thank everyone for a great time on Sunday for my 1st AX experience! Amazing fun and although pokey-slow, had not expected to get to 49.29 my first day. I'm looking forward to more!
