Mike, what route did you take home? I expected you to get off onto 70E, but you stayed on 81?

We dont hate your car, just its condition. If it were actually in good shape I would willingly help you make it better. At this point it is a waste of time and money, a lot of money. It would be a great starter car, but this one is mostly rust and headaches to come.

Re: First event
I had a bad brake bias due to the front pads not arriving on time, but i hope i earned a little respect in the SRT-4, which one of the inspectors referred to as being on their sh!t list i believe. It's true that most srt guys are drag racers i guess... The course layout was fun, the food was good, ...

We use a CO2 tank. Lasts way longer than an air tank, is smaller, and can be used with airtools also. Visit www.powertank.com for more info.

Re: Winter Small Bore projects.
We simply removed the quickener. We always had the wrx rack. It came with my swap car. The trans is back in. Have been driving the car for a couple weeks now. Drove it to work today. Nedd to re-work the alignment situation. Changing the rear crossmember fouled some things up.

Not trying to ruin my turbo so no anti-lag for me. Besides the suxass is lag free enough.

Re: Miata Brake Pad Recommendation
I would give the ultimates another shot. I had them on my teg and they were ok but really easy to fade and difficult to get cool. I have ultimates on my RS now and they are not the same as the teg. They take a lot more before fade and seem to cool quickly. The only issue I have with them is on a rai...

Re: Adjustable control arms for Miata
We treid removing the rear sway on the suxass but saw no difference over a stock rear sway. We prefer to keep the sway on. The only testing we did was checking droop travel and there was no difference. Try jacking a rear corner and measure the height the fender reaches before the tire comes off the ...

Re: Adjustable control arms for Miata
Increasing castor will make any tire work better. You may not need as wide of a tire when you have enough castor.
A trick we always do to subaru's is by removing some of the rear camber. This is one of the main causes of understeer in a subaru. The rear just grips too much.

Re: Adjustable control arms for Miata
No experience but that product looks great. However I dont see it being a real needed item. The front end is the end to concern most with. When the rear starts getting real loose, then I would consider those arms. You need something like that for the front that allows caster and camber adjustment. j...

Re: Adjustable control arms for Miata
Castor allows the top of the wheel to tilt as you turn. Think of it as how a skier leans to turn. The tires tilt adding camber on the outside wheel and reducing camber on the inside wheel. The more caster the better for autocross. I custom modified the suspension on the SUXASS to get the caster angl...

I would go, but I will likely have a dependant by then. The lot is huge. Expect a very fast course. Used to go to those in my early days.
