I should be there sunday for T&T. Don't want to get in the way on points day.

If you want to come out on Saturday come out, you wont be in the way. Points races vs test and tune is not much different other than at a TnT you get way more runs.

Sunday is actually a better day for me. My Saturdays are kinda "on call" days for me at work. Don't know where I'll be or what I'll be doing half the time till Friday. If I'm not working Saturday I'll at least come out and watch, if thats allowed of course.

Harry Grove on Sat 9/24 $10 discount for second slot SAT ONL

Post by echan »

$10 Discount on Second Slot for Saturday September 24th at Harry Grove
To help increase interested in the September 24th event at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, MD, we are offering the following special.

For anyone paying for a second slot, the second slot will be $10 off. So if you are a member the second slot for a member will only be $20. If the second slot is for a non-member the cost will be $30 (rather than $40).

The second slot can also be used the same driver (e.g. they would drive in two heats) or for a guest.

To sign up for a second slot:

1. Make a second reservation (for you or the guest)
2. Type "Second Slot" in the Notes Section (if it is for a guest, state your name - e.g. second slot guest of John Doe). You must type "Second Slot." Otherwise, we may think you mistakenly submitted duplicate reservations.

-Several people used the second slot for a guest (some that never autocrossed with CDC)
-Many participants used the second slot to get 12 runs
-Some used the second slot to be a point autocross in the 6 morning runs (since only the first 6 counted for points) then treated the afternoon as a TNT by trading cars with other two slot participants

This offer is only extended for the Saturday event (not the other day) at Harry Grove on September 24th, 2011.
If you have any questions, let me know at capitaldriving@yahoo.com.

So just a question then because I am a noob and I don't know. Right now it say 70% and scattered thunderstorms so if this happens does the Auto X still go on? And Also if we do continue is it possible to change my placement number so it does not reflect me running on slicks?

I don't see Rain + Slicks x Auto-X = Good? :/

come on man I did put noob up there, I have been doing this all summer but all the times that I have come out I guess I have missed the rain so with a posibility of rain I had no idea what the plan would be because I didn't see a "Rain or Shine" line in there.

From The Weather Channel: Cloudy skies early. A few showers developing later in the day. High around 80F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

I've ridden a bicycle 100 miles in much worse.

Sorry guys. Results will have to wait a couple days. The data card went home in the wrong car and I have to get it back before I can compile the results.

I have to say I already got my results, I had a blast. I am bad with names but I do believe it was Andy that was kind enough to let me ride in the "stink bug" with him to experiance the course. Then when it came to my runs I believe it was Larry who pointed me in the right direction, literally. Thanks very much to everybody who makes this stuff happen, I will be back for more.

I would like to get a recording of Larry yelling "Go Faster! Give it more gas! FLOOR IT!" to put in my car's CD player next time I autocross. I predict it will improve my times drastically.

Had a good time yesterday. Course was alright. That bump going into the box was not pleasant at all :x

Here's my videos from yesterday. Best run was my 4th(1st afternoon run) with a 44.09.

Didn't go out to the test & tune today. Went to a PCA event at Bowie. Got 6 runs there and was out by 1 :D

I'm not sure, I left before Ryan with the STi did his last runs. I think he had to improve over .6 seconds to get me on index.

Here's a video I put together from the Test and Tune event. I wasn't at Saturday's event, but from what I'm told the course was slightly altered. It was a very fun and fast course! I ended up with a 47.xx and was pretty happy with that. :)

I can't believe how the forecast changed for Saturday! Wow. The course was fun, although I'm not sure I want another one where we cross the ditch 7 times! :D
