4/23 ax at Bowie

Post by hepcatz »

Everyone ready for Bowie coming up? I actually will be running a new to me car I picked up last night so I plan on running that instead of the miata. Everyone will definately suffer from deju vu when you see it... ;) (also please not try to laugh too loudly as I learn to drive a new SM class car.)

are you running small bore?

If so... I might have to bring my corolla out with no front bumper...

You bet I will. I'll of course suck badly (I know no difference ) however it would be awesome to have rampaging 'Rollas. I've printed out the new bar codes. I'm guessing that will supercede my registration which I registered using the NC miata? I'm hoping to run the r-comps but may just run with re-11s.

I think you'll be surprised by how fast you are in a properly set up car with r-comps...

Also... due to poor fore-site and lazyness on my part... I may have to bust out some S05s... I might not put up much of a fight John :)

Mike, you should ride along with me to give me pointers on driving a manual steering 'Rolla on r-comps. (if it doesn't rain) Are you good at making Wookie noises?

I hope it snows. I'm actually praying for two to three inches of snow, but I'll take the rain if that's all I can get.

Definitely made the wrong call this morning. When I got up at 5 it looked like a washout from the radar. Figures I go back to bed and the rain dissipates.

Great time today! I ran in heat 1 so it was very wet in the morning and slightly damp in the afternoon. I managed to squeak out a 53.0x though so I was happy with that.

Here are some shots I took: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24136705@N ... 561267840/

I would've taken more but my memory card was having issues and I also ran out of batteries. :x

Thanks CDC for putting on another great event!

If someone snagged a pic of the red FB RX-7, can you send them to me?
That was my first autocross and it was awesome.

I had a great time too. Good course, great folks and fun runs! Thanks to everyone involved who ran the show. Thanks to Larry, Mike, Dan & Franklin for some brew. It was a great time getting introduced to the new car.
