This is why I am happy with no interior and holes in my floor ...

I'll be there rain or shine ...

I heard panic roll through the countryside. "Irene is coming," they chanted, as they ransacked grocery stores. Are we still autocrossing tomorrow?

So does not cancelling mean it's on? I don't really want to switch tires and load it up if we are not a go.

It closed because it actually filled up for once.

judging by the weather, I assume there will be a decent number of no-shows, so you'll probably be able to show up and register.

I predict many cone calls for the afternoon runs and that's not from cars hitting them lol. That and timing issues. It'll be fun ;)

EDIT: Looks like NCC cancelled their event for tomorrow.

For anyone interested, I'm going to not be coming due to weather and a few other reasons. So I guess there is room for 1 more person if desired.

It was so wet, Fred Kelley didn't show.

Actually, the rain never got to be torrential and the wind was mostly calm. It rained steadily from 10am on, so Heat 1 got the only dry runs. I liked this event better than many with temps in the 90s and high humidity.

I had my trailer hooked up and the car on the lift last night... checked the weather and put my track tires on and closed the trailer. It seemed like a good chance to heal up a couple of craked ribs from Summit Point a few weeks ago. I'm going to drink some milk and cook my wife dinner tonite, it's been a while since I had a laid back Saturday. Glad you guys survived.

They combined heats 1 and 2 and then 3 and 4 into 2 heats. I was running heats 2 and 4 so got 4 dry runs in the first combined heat. It went very quick due to the small numbers of cars, like 35 or so total, but the combined 3/4 guys were not so lucky as the rain started. It was a bummer as the weather report said it would hold off until after noon.

Welcome Shadow GT-S... nice driving. The course was designed with rain in mind and with an STI your wet times were as good as a lot of dry times.

Fred, what happened at Summit Point? Cracked ribs would keep a normal sane (ie: not die-hard autoxers where your freaking still putting a car on a lift with cracked ribs) out for a full season. Glad to see you still tried to make it, but real smart move.

I'm glad the weather was pretty decent and that we were able to get some dry runs in. I finally got around to posting up the videos. Just got my power back yesterday morning..

Best dry run was my 3rd with a 44.060. Best wet run was my last being nearly exactly 2seconds slower than my dry run with a 46.07.

Fred,

Good call on the no-show. Cracked ribs hurt like hell and take longer to heal if you keep straining them. Besides, it was nice seeing someone besides you or Wade take FTD.
