$10 Discount for Sunday June 17th

Post by echan »

We will be offering the $10 discount for the next event at James Wood HS in Winchester. Keep in mind that this event is SUNday (not our normal day).

Here's a great opportunity to run at our biggest lot at a discounted price for the second slot. You can use the second lot for your guest or for yourself.

Hope to see you all there!

I take I66-I81-US522. It's a longer but because of traveling on more major roads, you can make up in speed. Alternately US50 is the more direct route.(but in my experience slower)

I also live in Alexandria. Over the last 14 years, I've taken several different routes. I think the best route is I-66 to I-81. It is further but the speeds are higher with no lights until you get off the highway.

Funny how on fathers day... I still don't get to do what I really want! :D I must hang with the family and visit my 87 YO father inlaw. Wish you all the best and wish I was running.

I agree that 66 to 81 is faster, but I still prefer to take 7 or 50 out. Makes for a nicer ride...just be sure to watch for cops on any route. Not that anyone here would drive over the posted speed limit.

We're up to 102! Winchester usually ends up with lower attendance since it's a little bit farther away for folks. That being said, it's our biggest lot, and in my opinion, usually the most fun.

I signed up and in the comments requested 2 slots, but noticed that some people have their names and cars on the roster twice. Am I on the Roster for two slots? I see it's about full and I don't want it to be too late to assert that i wanted two...it's a long drive for me and I would like to get two slots to make it worthwhile. Anyone that can assure me either way I'd appreciate it. Thanks. :?

To get two slot, you MUST make two reservations. Please make a second reservation to get a second slot (I also stated this to each participant that type "Second Slot" but did not have a second reservation. Please do this ASAP, as the field will close when we hit 110.

I just closed the field. If others made the same mistake as Nathan and did not make a second slot reservation, we can add the second slot at registration. Otherwise, the field is now closed.

I agree that today was run very well!!!

I would especially like to thank the organizers for putting the word out that my GoPro fell off and was lost. Someone found it and turned it back in...that was a big sigh of relief!!!!

The seven runs was really great too. For some reason my car didn't really like this track but it was a learning experiance and fun as all H E L L !!!! Every turn the rear slid out and on one occasion....well we all know what happend! The car cooled off and started right back up though!

Looking forward to next time.

Also, every time I go to Winchester I get stuck in absurd traffic. Two hours to get home (it's 62mi of all highway). Had Fred and Lare Bear behind me sharing in the misery (except Fred and I were in the shade....and AC  )
