I used that app I was playing with all day yesterday to create this video of my best run. It's got speed, acceleration, and COURSE POSITION overlayed on the video. Sweet!

Mike- if somebody changes cars, does the software keep track of the index multiplier on a "per run" basis, or does the last entered multiplier get used for all runs?

The software associates one index with each driver. By default, the index entered at registration is used. If/when an index bar code is scanned, that is made the new default first thing when a run starts. At the start of each run, the current default index is saved for that particular run. If the index later changes, the indices for previous runs are kept as they were.Wade Chamberlain wrote:Mike- if somebody changes cars, does the software keep track of the index multiplier on a "per run" basis, or does the last entered multiplier get used for all runs?
We were having some issues with the bar code scanner reading through windshields yesterday. Index bar codes didn't get scanned much of the time. This may have led to a new index not being picked up.

There is an 05 Lotus Elise in small bore. They have variable valve timing and/or lift on both cams. The folks in the points race probably care about that.

The acceleration data is off in a lot of places. What app, GPS receiver, and refresh rate were you using when you logged the data? I presume you were using a phone for the data acquisition? If so, I've found that the acceleration data is worthless unless you are running a high refresh rate logging app. Say 5Hz or 10Hz log rate. Even then, it isn't great.Sky Render wrote:I used that app I was playing with all day yesterday to create this video of my best run. You might want to checkout DashWare. It has some analysis features and import profiles for a lot of data loggers and phone apps. The video playback never worked right for me in VMWare, but the data graphs and track position map worked well. There is a free trial and the purchase price is cheap (last I used it the trial can be extended with a little adjustment to the system time if you are so inclined).

The most resolution you can get on a cellular phone is 1 Hz unless you use an external GPS. The acceleration graph is a little off because I didn't bother trying to perfectly sync the data with the video feed.david.valeri wrote:The acceleration data is off in a lot of places.
