We are a GO for SATurday April 26th at Bowie

Post by echan »

I know a lot of participants and organizers were disappointed that we had to cancel the last event. The good news, however, is that the event for this Saturday (26th) is still on schedule! The forecast (depending on whom you are listening) is for late afternoon showers. With luck, we will complete all the runs before any rain hits us.

As a side note if you enjoy British sports cars, the following day on Sunday is the Triumph Club’s Britain on the Green car show in Alexandria, VA located just off the Mount Vernon Parkway at the Collingwood Library (between Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon). The show starts at 9:30. For more information check the following link.

See you at the AutoX.

Also, the April 28 HPDE is full but if you are interested in running a track day at some point and want to see what it is like, come on out and spectate at the CDC/NERD Racing event. There is a cafe to get lunch and drinks. Spectator admission is free.

since i ran 4th heat, i was able to snap a good amount of pics of the first 3 heats. only got pics in the morning heats. i think i missed the A cars from heat 3 since i was helping my team mate fix his miata. not the best pics but i figure its better than nothing right 8-)

Heat 3

if you want the high res. pics just let me know ur heat and car, please let me know ASAP because i will be deleting these from my computer in a few days, dont have enough space... if for some reason you want me to take down pics of your car, just let me know.

if anyone has pics of number 50 and number 626, i'd greatly appreciate them.

It was a blast to come out meet everyone and see how the east coast does it, compared to the west . If anyone wants the high res or prints email me at Chargerder@gmail.com and we'll work something out.

Kyle/somebody,

Under the "2008 Driver Championship Points" table, it looks like some names are listed separately as opposed to being added together. I am listed twice as:

"Mark A 85" for the 3/30 event
"Mark Ans 79" for the 4/26 event

Where these should be added together. It looks like this happened with a few others too. The reason being different aliases were used for the different events (maybe we should use member #s for members).

My results are also missing from this event, car 359. I ran all day and my fastest time was a 50.17 I believe.

We'll get all the event results and championship points standings corrected. I believe the mistakes are an unintended consequence of abridging everyone's name to protect their privacy. Sometimes people opt to use an alternate alias (like their forum screen name) and then at another event they choose not to or they list a different alias altogether, which complicates things further. To improve results reporting accuracy I think we may list the participant's car number next to their name. Unfortunately, this only works well for CDC members with a permanent number as non-members and guests have always been assigned a sequential number in the 600-range that gets recycled for each event.

Anyways, I'm headed out of town this morning and won't be near a computer until Monday night (yay!) so it will be a few days before I can upload the updated results. I'll post here when I've done so. Thanks for your patience and understanding and we'll get this straightened out.

I'll look at the timesheets tonight. I didn't think I missed any but will look it up. Keep in mind that the results show only your first name and first 3 letters of your last name OR the Alias that you typed when you made your reservation. It's also possible that the timesheet is in a different box in the trailer, which may take a couple of days to find.

I'll do my best to find the timesheets.

I looked at the storage garage where the trailer is kept and did not see any missed timesheets. Please check if you happened to bring your timesheet home with you. Losing a timesheet is not typical unless the participant brought it home and didn't leave it with us.

If worse comes to worse, I can award you points with our best estimate.
