Huge congratulations to Andy, Wade, and even Frank(for beating me in my own car, dammit :D ). Also to Eric for being scary fast in his first season. And to Earl for continuing to put pressure on Small Bore.

I can't express adequate thanks to Ed an his crew of intrepid organizers for all of the planning, innovating and just plain hard work that went into making this another great season. Thank You All!!

Dan

maybe i'm missing something, but doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of a separate series for small bore?

I was under the impression that the purpose was to separate the performance capabilities of small bore cars from the higher displacement ones, whether that insinuates that they under or over-perform at places like harry grove (where most events are) when compared to more powerful cars. And by separate i mean have in a different competition altogether, almost like the classing in other clubs.

could be wrong, and I'm not necessarily challenging the system, more just curious as it almost seems unfair to people in non-small bore to be left out of the standings (people like hobbs who missed out by one point) because the small bores can cross points into their non-class and win in both. If that's the case, there really shouldn't be small bore since they are winning both anyways.

Typically the small bore cars are slower than the higher HP cars. Last year was the only year where the small bore winner was also the index winner.

Keep in mind that we try our best to try to make a fair system, while keeping the system easy without requiring a complex system with a protest system. I believe that over the last nine years, the index champion has been different each year (despite that many of the past champs still participate).

As always, we are always open to suggestions and you can voice them in person at the awards lunch. Our club is really a result of many different suggestions (from having a grill,TNTs, small bore series, the current index system, hot lane, LED display, real-time results computer, etc.
