awful quiet in here!

Post by Wade Chamberlain »

nobody excited about tomorrow's Harry Grove event? I figured there'd be at least a *little* chatter in here! 8-) Hope the weather holds out...I got some spanky new rear control arms to try out.

First time out in the e30. I had a lot of fun tossing the rear end around on the fun runs but I think I need a lot of work on getting my lines right.

i had fun as always. i think i found the heat limit of the RE-01Rs, wish i had a pyrometer. a little upset i couldnt break into the 39's but i got close. if i had a water sprayer i think i could have done so. fortunately and i suppose unfortunately, i was very consistent. my first run i got a 41.64 but all my other runs were in the 40's and no cones all day.

my best

really wish i had some extra cash to slap some r-comps on and see how my times compare to others..

i got some decent pics of Heat 1. if you want a hi-res picture, just PM me with ur e-mail and let me know which one(s) and i can e-mail it to u. let me know asap, ill be deleting them from my comp by this weekend, just dont have enough room..

I have a pyrometer that you're welcome to borrow for some future event. If you're interested, I'll try to remember to throw it in the trailer.

The timing tent also has a pyrometer (IR type with laser spotter that measures surface-not as accurate as the probe type that penatrates into the rubber but still handy). We just need to make sure to have a fresh 9 volt battery for it. Anyone is welcome to use it.

I think I got a 40.05 or 40.06 on the test-and-tune day. It was a blast this weekend!

Big thanks to Chris Delia (sp?). The Noble was a blast.

I must say....your car looked totally composed on every run from where I was standing in the stop garage. My times were close to yours and it looked like you weren't even pushing it that hard compared to what I was doing in the MINI. Smooth FTW....I need to work on that myself

haha thanks. as much as i like being smooth and consistant, i think thats what holding me back from being faster...i guess i need to start pushing my self even harder. take out some cones, spin out, etc...just one of the things i need to improve on.

thanks to whoever shot these pics!! they look great. now i can see how bad my body roll is :(
