Was it determined that SP does NOT own a street-sweeper? Just sitting here looking out at the rain and wondering how much mud/dust will be on the skid-pad on Sat. What can we do to get a clean surface? Any Ideas??

Not true. BSR does has a sweeper; it was out in force for the BMWCCA event this weekend. Track was still wet and water was pooling in the same spots. BUT, the trouble areas were ground down, ready for repavement, so hopefully it'll be corrected before next weekend.

Overall, I do think the grip was a bit better than at the first BMWCCA autox, which was also in the wet. So I don't know if the pavement is just getting "worn in" a bit better or if something has changed. They are also in the process of adding candy cane to all the islands. Personally it looks like a bad move to me; if you drop a wheel off and come back on right quick, that inside sharp edge of the curbing is going to, at the very least, give you a flat, and could probably damage/bend wheels and or suspension components. Granted, the idea is to not go off, but if CDC is trying to keep a minimum distance from any curbing for our courses, it's going to major pain to accommodate that.

Other than that it looked like they are trying to seed grass; there was some straw covering most of the dirt around the pad.

OK, well we will all see next week!

Well, that's good news about the sweeper for sure. Looking forward to a NICE SUNNY DAY next Sat. See you all there.

Holy smoke! Now I know what all you RWD guys were talking about. That place is not RWD friendly. Track was mostly dry with some huge puddles. Drove my Z3 and had more grip in the wet spots than where it was dry. I hereby rescind my previous comments!!

But I still love the place!!
