This was my first time with the CDC, looking forward to many more especially in Woodbridge since it's all of 14 miles from home. Here is a video clip of my best run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml6eWKfU9Qw Hopefully the results will be posted soon, curious to see how things are after handicapping. I like this lot, the pavement seem nice and with exception of the light poles there is quite a bit of space.

There was definitely a bit of improvising with that course design. The (overly) offset gates on the slalom were actually on purpose to keep speeds down, as was the paranoia of hitting light poles. Ted (the original course designer) got sick and couldn't make the event, so the course was designed the night before from a Google map with significant modification that morning. I wasn't expecting that much room and thought the poles were much closer together. That kept much of the course inside the light poles. In the future, we can definitely do better. Ideally, we want to run from one end of the lot to the other so we can have overlapped, longer runs with better flowing lines. If you guys would just slow down, we could design much faster courses. :)

For anyone that heard me bitching in the morning, that wasn't directed at anyone there. I've just been way too busy lately and need a long vacation. A word of advice; never tear apart *two* bathrooms in your house at the same time.

I ran on a course sunday where I reached the top of third gear. (80 mph) Talk about fast. Of course, it was also 1.1 miles long. I kinda like courses like that, but the CDC courses tend to be more fun. I'd like to see a Chicago box in the next course. :D

There was a NASA-X event down at Virginia Motorsports Park on Sunday that I went to. I wasn't talking about the CDC event, sorry, I should have to made that clear.

When you get to the results page, refresh it. It never shows up for me at first either...

Yeah, something with the cookies/muffins not updating or something from your previous visit. :D

Alternatively, you can force a complete refresh by doing the following keyboard combination:
CTRL + F5

This should work for IE and FF versions (and Chrome). This refresh will replace your local cached content of the site.

The results weren't right for me. It shows my name twice on the list and it shows that I dropped from 5th to 10th because it doesn't show any points next to my name there. If you scroll waaaay down you will see my name again with the VA points next to it. Weird. I already informed Ed of this, not sure if this happened to anybody else.

Results were revised and sent to Kyle to be posted yesterday.

Due to the holiday weekend, he may not be near a PC to update.

So you didn't enjoy my attempt to lower your overall points by splitting your name? I must have failed the Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme training :P

Ten of the participants will have their overall points reduced by one from the 6/27 event.

There was a mistake in my chart which resulted in the revision. The new chart should is posted. Be sure to refresh your web page.

Sorry about the mistake. :P
