OK-- I'll say it. THAT was a LOT of fun! And it had nothing to do with the Hoosier A6's I ran for the first time(really, honestly, just trust me--they really aren't JUST LIKE crack). Sorry about the folks in the first and second heats that took a huge hit from the rain in the afternoon.

Another great course Mike, you did a great job laying that out. Now all you need to do is get that finish line time display! (I would gladly pay an extra $5 for a couple of events for that, by the way.)

Thanks! I wasn't really happy with the course layout until I got to drive it a few times. It was much more fun than I was expecting. I love that transition section from lower to upper-lot.

The results are almost done. I just have to get some info off a few timesheets tomorrow morning and they will be sent to the webmaster for posting online.

yeah, first off i would like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to the jen and jake moran for letting me race in their 2000 impreza 2.5 rs. it isn't as terrifying as the suxass, but it was a very nice little car. i'm actually now browsing ebay to see if i can maybe pick one up in a year.

even though the tC wasn't up to compete yet (i hope it will be ready by this saturday), i figured i'd just come over and watch, ride-along and learn, chat and tease my friends. which is why i rolled in alittle late since i wasn't going through tech inspection. much to my surprise jen offered to let me race in their impreza with jake's permission. i really appreciate it! especially since when i actually looked at the course, and watched the test run, i was immediately thinking how fun the course looked and was sad i wouldn't be competing!

i was amazed how jake basically told me drive the car as hard as i want so long as he doesn't have to go get his truck and tow it back home. LMAO! so thanks, that really made my day! i'm sorry if i was alittle rushed towards the end, i wasn't planning on staying that long and had to get myself off and ready for work immediately after my afternoon runs! when the tc is ready, you can take it for a run if you want to try something different!

Too close for comfort Dan. After you get that alignment, I think I am in trouble. If you find yourself with 4 flat A6s at the next event, I blame Fank. He seems like the sort that would do that kind of thing ;) .

although the course was short, i really enjoyed it especially the transition. my new suspension setup felt amazing!

somewhat disappointed because i could've had the 2nd fastest raw time with a 33.31. jake had a 33.25 in my car but we both clipped a cone on our fastest runs :| i'll take 5th fastest raw though

Wow, I did quite well....

On another note. It looks like I have some type of cold/flu/respiratory affliction. So, if you were in contact with the guy who drives the blue fit, and was wearing the white baseball cap with a blue brim: you've probably been exposed.

Don't worry, Dave. The car had more to give on Sat but the driver didn't know what to do with it. I don't see that changing much in the immediate future. And Franklin will probably just buy an NA for SCCA and will modify the Hell out of his NB(While staying Small Bore legal)until he can beat me every time again.

yeah, i was just thinking it is fairly light an nimble, has AWD, big 2.5 liter engine, nearly all of them are manual transmissions, and most importantly, I CAN FIT IN IT! lol, i think about the other smaller lighter older japanese cars and wonder if i could fit in there with a helmet on! lol, next time i go car shopping, i'll actually bring my autocross helmet with me as part of the testing!

This is why we have been obsessed with these cars for near a decade now. Not only are they easy to work on & upgrade, they can be made to auto-x very well, and in the off-season you can get some winter tires and go do stuff like this.
