Tenative Awards Lunch around 2 pm Saturday February 20th

Post by echan »

We are planning to have the awards lunch on February 20th in the Rockville Area. Ed O is making arrangements/reservations as we speak. As soon as we get confirmed, I'll send out the mass e-mail.
Ed said that it's best to have the lunch around 2 or 2:30 to avoid the crowds.

Sounds good to me, I'll be there although I doubt anyone will recognize me. The beard had a tragic accident involving a lighter and had to be removed =(

Some say he once shaved his beard with a cigarette lighter... on purpose. And that the WWF sued him for destruction of natural habitat. All we know is, he is not the Stig.

I will now be taking an unexpected trip to Best Buy to replace the monitor I just sprayed with coffee. :P

mscw (mazda club) has meetings there. not sure if there's a discount but perhaps someone from mscw can refer if there is one.

in case that doesn't work out. CAR (miata club) has their meetings at Green Turtle in Laurel. We get our own room there. I don't think we pay for it. They just set it aside. Perhaps they can do the same for us. And we can probably do it there at a regular lunch time. Just a suggestion.

is this bad: when other people drive down the highway, they see construction barriers. whereas i see long slalom. as we get longer and longer into the off season, the more i'm tempted.

Our local Chick Fil A puts up cones to separate the drive-thru lane from the rest of the parking lot. Only problem is that they set them up so close that it would make for a pretty difficult slalom on foot, much less behind the wheel.
