We shot all heats so I have 300-something pics to pick through and I'll post the good ones tonight or tomorrow.

This was our first venture to Woodbridge and I'm impressed with how well you used the real estate. If you said that the lot could produce a 45-second course I wouldn't have believed you, especially a course where you could put two cars on at the same time, I wouldn't have believed you. Kudos for getting the most out of that lot.

My morning wasn't great with a DNF and cones in the other two runs. I had to sit myself down before my afternoon heat and tell myself to sacrifice speed for cleanliness, and it worked the first time through, so that was a nice confidence booster and I ran the last two runs clean and faster. I think I wound up with a low 47-second fast time.

Best part, it never rained. I saw a wet forecast and put on the hardtop since I hate driving with the soft top on, and of course that means it'll stay dry all day. Funny how that works.

We'll have to see if my work schedule allows me to do Woodbridge again next time out. Saturdays can sometimes be tough for me but if I can find a way to run, odds are I'll be there.

59 photos, I think, posted here:

http://www.claffie.com/photos/100529/index.html

About to head to bed, tomorrow I'll update Flickr

As always I'm happy to provide full-size pictures for the asking, and if you were there but don't see a picture of your car feel free to ask for me to check and see if we did catch it but just didn't post it. I don't play favorites when picking what pictures to post, I just look for what pictures seem to show speed better than others. Cars with numbers seem to show up in my albums more often than those without for some reason.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the ContourHD. The good news is that YouTube supports 1080P video as well, so if you don't like the VHoldr site, you can upload your videos to YouTube without having to do any extra work.

I believe FTD was a low 44 in the SUXASS by Jake. I hope to have preliminary results tonight. Its been a busy weekend and without barcode data it's more time-consuming.

Also, I apologize for the tight course. With the threat of rain, the number of light poles, and "recent events," I wanted to keep things safe and a little slower at our first Hylton event of the year.

I actually loved the course, I thought it was a good technical course even though I didnt do too well. I was pretty miserable and with the seats now in the car I was a LOT lower in my car and had to realearn the corners of the car. Ended up coning away every single run but the last one

I like this lot a bajillion times better than the bowie lot so looking forward to a lot more events there this part of the season.

Edit: PSSTT did anyone get pics of the white BMW M3?

Trust me... not happy about missing it. I'm guessing Franklin wasn't there because of the SCCA so I could have used the chance to get some points without having to outdrive his 255s. I had to go to a wedding :x.

Yea... I have absolutely no money right now, so factoring in gas plus the registration, I really couldn't afford it. I'm missing the next Woodbridge event too because of family stuff :-(

On the bright side, I have a new job which pays more! Once I straighten out my finances I'm going to start putting some money into the Miata. Watch out small bore!

I think I got at least two pics of it.

Basicly I was just playing around with all the settings and getting used to this "new" camera. Also I really liked the course, once I take care of the steering on my car and the lack of front camber I should do much better on courses like this one.

My coworker's daughter came out on Saturday and took some pictures.... including ones of the squirrel on the course.

Sorry you have to wade through the pics of me and my two friends to get to the squirrel pictures. . . .

haha, well you probably could have out driven me... I coned almost every run and my first run ended up being my best :|

Well stop killing cones. Your last run would have been really good if it wasn't for the cones.

wait... you're not supposed to hit the cones? :P

yeah... the corollas steering is not the easiest to work with on tighter courses like that. I definitely need to work on making the car easier to drive instead of any faster haha. Or I could just start driving better :P

My last run wasn't even my fastest by a long shot. I had a 44.33 +3 in the morning which would have put me right behind jake. oh well.
