Did they fly out the window? you know you aren't supposed to be driving with anything besides the driver in the car right.

I should be out with the new MIata setup. I'll probably be finishing suspension work in the parking lot (paging Dan & Franklin).

Don't know what you are doing ... but use the long bolt method, it is much easier.

If I can attend I can help ... I think I'm out of town this weekend though

Let me know if you need help on this before the event. I have done suspension on a miata a time or two.

Guess Kate wants to race.

I was going to register, really, just kept putting off signing up. Sat down to do some iRacing last night and Kate pops her head in the room. "How much horsepower does the car have?" "Which one?" "Miata" "Which one?" "The white ones" "I dunno, 120ish?"

A minute later she's back. "How much do the cars weigh?" "Why are you asking me this stuff?" "Never mind, answer the question" "I dunno, 2200 lbs or so"

When I'm done racing I see I have confirmation emails saying that she and I are signed up to run at Bowie. Nifty.

Which camber plates? I am in desperate need of some, my stock hats and bilsteins with H+Rs arent cutting it.

At least you two can swap hats to get more camber(if you haven't already). I was planning on waiting to install the konis and h&r oes until I had the vorshlags, but I don't have the funds(~$500) at the moment, so I'll just clean and repack the stock hats for the time being.

The Ground Control street plates:

I'd get the race ones for your purposes. The only negative thing I've heard about them is that they make noise sometimes, but I have the race-equivalent plates on my WRX and just have to grease them once in a while.

You might be able to find someone's old 96-99 hats. I may actually have a set, though they're old.

Right now I have Konis, H&R OEs and flipped tophats, but I'm -3.1 on one side and -2.2 on the other side. So I'm going to camber plates to get them even.

My guess is that for 90% of people the GC street plates are a better buy ($300). $480 is quite a lot for camber plates.

Unless my coilovers are magically warped from San Diego to NoVA, they won't be on by saturday. For the record Fatcat Motorsports does not deliver there products on time, they don't return emails, but they sure will cash the check as soon as they get it. Without coilovers, the wheels I have won't fit. But I still want to race. But I don't want to race on crappy all -seasons. So...

Does anyone have spare miata wheels and tires that I can borrow for just saturday. 140 treadwear or better. I will pay for your entry fee if you help me out. I'll just swap them on and off there.

You are welcome to use my RE11's. I don't think they are 140 or better but I won't be using them and you don't have to pay my entry fee -- maybe buy a beer after the event.

I keep destroying rears in it... Countless bearings and shafts, a gear set, a stock limited slip, and after the last autocross (2 years ago at HG) and a few miles the tru-track that I had just put in was ruined. It needs a full floating rear or a really tough IRS to continue racing. I have to admit though, that tru-track worked amazingly at Harry Grove when I ran it. With a little better driving (.11 second better) that 4500lb barge would have made sub-40 second run. :o

I've been keeping busy with cars though, I picked up a $100 BMW 318ti from a co-worker last year and have brought that back to life. It's no truckster, but at least I'll get an autocross in this year!
