Groups 1 and 2 are full and closed. We will accept a few people on a wait list type basis.

Group 3 still has a 2 slots left. Group 3 is for advanced drivers who will not require instruction.

Just kidding, I'm running Porterfield R4-S pads. Hopefully I won't be too much of a moving road block for you guys....
I would strongly advise against using R4-S pads at the track. They are a terrific street pad, but there is a reason it says right on the box "Not for Track Use". The pad material actually will start to melt and leave deposits all over your rotors, causing wonky pedal vibrations. Ask me how I know ;P

Did we ever figure out which track configeration we are running?

Full track or cutting off at the bus stop to eliminate the bowl?

Sweet I love that layout much better than cutting out the bowl.

The bowl and the run back up the hill is one of the best parts of the track, imho.

Great call. The pit lane is unnecessary risk IMO.

Are we running the straight under the bridge or the bus stop?

I am running with EMRA this weekend there and they told us we are running the bus stop under the bridge so we do not have to cross the hill.

That will be a first for me there.

Agreed. It's extra fun in the rain with all the standing water that builds at the bottom of the hill as you enter the pit straight.

Hopefully we are running the straight under the bridge; I'm hoping for some air this time.

I never noticed those cars parked on that side of the straight. I guess driving you miss that stuff paying attention to the track and things around you on track.

BSR cars. They are actually pretty fun to drive on both Main and Shanandoah.

That's a long distance shot. Those cars are actually about 70 yards away from the track, across the road that takes you to the bridge.

Man whatever configuration we run please do not run that stupid bus stop under the bridge.

They had so many people wreck there yesterday there it was crazy. And it was just in Time Trials.

10 day forcast yesterday called for a 20% chance of the "r" word.

Anyone know what time we are supposed to be there for registration and tech?

I just recevied the "Capital driving Club and NERD Racing Spring Shenandoah HPDE info" E-mail and it refers to assigned car numbers, but there is no attachment with the numbers.

Also, can we request numbers if we already have vinyl numbers?

Thanks,
Tim

Big thanks to you guys for organizing this event. It was a blast!

I wasn't enjoying our L very much in the rain since I had to drive it very carefully, but it was good experience. It was much more fun driving Jen's RS in the last group 2 slot. I might have to bring out that RS to a future track day instead of the race car. I think it's a lot more fun pushing 100% in a slower car than giving it 70% in a fast one. I definitely need some more track experience before I jump out there in a heavily modified car.

I think the event went well considering the absolutely terrible weather conditions. We kept on schedule, everyone seemed to have fun and the feedback I have heard was positive from both instructors and students. 8-)
