I like the 888 better. No full tread depth squirm and they are more linear when sliding. I will be instructing at the Oct NASA event. Barrie will be there as well.

Someone said they are supposed to be fixing the track last week or this week one of the two.

Anyone know if this is true or not?

They laid new pavement in the turns last week. I was there on Thursday, and most of the damage had been fixed. Still a little bit of rumble in turn 5 and turn 6 has a pretty harsh new/old pavement transition.

Thanks. My car's lighter than yours and I'm running a wing, so I'm most likely taking the corners a bit faster. With about 200 rwhp, I need to keep the momentum in the corners to get a good lap time.

I'm also going to sign up for the October NASA event tomorrow for the TT group.
Yeah. It's a safe bet that an S2000 is taking corners faster than a Mustang  I've only got 185 HP at the wheels (factory rating). Lots of torque though, and it pulls pretty well in 3rd and 4th gears.

Looks like TT is running with HPDE3 in some of the warmup sessions. I"ll see you out there! Let's hope the pavement is still in good shape !

PS. I'm #42 this time. They made me switch.

I saw some folks posting that the track is starting to break up at T1 and T5. Just hope the track holds up for the next 3 weeks when I get my chance to drive there.

This weekend will be a good test of the paving job.

NASA is always tough on the pavement when they run full sessions and fields for 2 days.

I'll be there this weekend. I would not expect the track surface to be all that great but at least the weather will be.

There are quiet rumors floating around that the track owner is not going to put any more money into the place.

Could this be the beginning of the end of another race track in our area?

are they reliable sources? it would seem odd as it wasn't too long ago that the Shenandoah circuit was built, and it looks like there is still contruction going on on the property.

that's kind of a let down that the track is breaking up again

Don't know how reliable but have heard it from 2 different shops in the area that run up there quite a bit.

The guy that owns the place told of the shop owners personally, according ot hte shop owner I was not there, that he was not going to sink any more money into the place.

Now he might have just meant the main track or maybe the repaving job or something.

Could have just been misinterpted or something.
