Hey guys Id like to assemble a team for this one, Id like to get 8-10 drivers for it to keep the costs down but I think I could get funding approved for as little as 5

I definitely want Black Flag Scherpf Murda and Eric on the same team as me Maybe a pair of Dunlaps and the 2nd gear Racing crew too!

If anyone is already putting a team together I'd love to join if you have room for one more

24 hour Enduro Event to be held Saturday, August 2-4 (time TBA). A maximum of 17 teams @ $2120 ($2000+ tax) per team with a $500 non-refundable deposit per team to reserve your spot and the remaining $1620 due the day of the event.

That would be a lot of fun. I'd be interested if we got 10 people to keep the cost down as far as possible.

From the looks of it we are well on our way to filling a team. Nate and I have both spoken to a lot of our friends and I believe we have at least 5 solid commitments at this point, plus enough "maybes" to fill the rest of the team and then some. We both said that we'd pull the trigger at 8 people, so let us know if you're in!

Ok Dave we've got the crew assembled, you make 10, an the way I see it like 8 of the 10 of us are high performance drivers so I think that we're looking at a good showing, there will surely be younger and faster drivers out there but I'm hoping we make less mistakes and get less penalties and we can have a very strong showing. I'm totally stoked

Hah, that was quick. High performance drivers huh, sounds intense.

I mean drivers with competitive experience, one guys was a kart racer, another is a dirt oval racer, several experienced autocrossers, I think we have a good talent pool. Only like 2 of us have never really driven hard or competitively.

One drawback, I may have to withdraw from Woodbridge to do this one, depends on funding arrangements.

We're going to have to sit him down and explain it. It will be awkward and confusing for him, but I'll approach it the same way I did for my eldest son with the birds and bees talk. I just hope he is just kind of accepting of the whole thing and doesn't have too many follow up questions, and he isn't totally grossed out.

Haha Eric we actually lost a guy so if you want to join the team then by all means we'd be happy to have you. But if you just want to hang out were all showing up Friday night for practice during the arrive and drive session, you could come show the new guys how its done

Looking back on the race, which we finished 11th of 12 I was surprised to see how well prepared the top 7 or 8 teams were, the competition was pretty tight up there, with the leaders battling it out separated by just 45 seconds at the end of the 24 hours. So the bottom three teams were just guys there to have fun and we finished in the middle of that group.

It was a huge challenge driving in the rain constantly and it was a lot of fun letting the grip return to you as the track dried out, overall we had a great time.

I learned a lot about race craft and overtaking cleanly and being overtaken cleanly. Having the patience to stage an overtake when it's the opportune time. Using slower traffic to my advantage when battling. Lots of valuable experience was gained. I'm looking forward to learning more next time around
