2009 Mid Atlantic Track Dates and Invitation

Post by Feffman »

Good Evening Everyone:

Just a quick note on MVP Track Time’s (http://www.MVPTrackTime.com) 2009 Mid-Atlantic (some Northeastern and Southeastern too for good measure) track days. All are welcome. We have these events listed below:

September 7-8: Virginia International Raceway ”Labor Day Speed Fix”

September 28: Summit Point (Main Course)

October 31 – November 1: Watkins Glen ”Halloween Fright FAST!”

November 21 – 22: Road Atlanta “Flyin Turkey Trot”

Of course you can run at any of our track events. We schedule six, 20-minute run sessions for each of the three (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) run groups each day. For more details, registration (both on-line and mail-in registration) and the balance of the 2009 schedule, visit us at http://www.MVPTrackTime.com.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (314) 249-3770 or Feffman@MVPTrackTime.com. Happy Motoring and I’ll see you at the track!

Mark,

What is your club's ruling on the prht mx5? Does this retractable hardtop require an aftermarket roll bar to run?
thanks,

John:

We are OK, as are the track we've run at in the past, with the hard top/convertible but I'm calling VIR, Summit Point, The Glen, etc. to make sure they are OK with them. Drop me an e-mail at feffman@MVPTrackTime.com if need be.

Thanks for checking! To date all hpde I have explored have said it needed a roll bar like a soft top (they do not make one that works with the prht) which has kept me out from exploring a track event. It would be wonderful to find an event that would allow for a non-hardcore track experience.

VIR is OK with the Miata and other steel clam-shell type roofed cars!

Got a call earlier this week from a potential attendee asking "How many run groups and how many sessions each day?". We run three (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) run groups with six, 20-minute run sessions scheduled for each run group per day.

Hope to see you at the track!

I'm not seeing "September 28: Summit Point (Main Course) " on the MVP Website. Is this event still on? If so, what is the cost?

We dropped Summit Point from the 2009 schedule due to time commitments at my real job.
