Hi everyone,

I came to a couple autoXs back in 2009 and had a lot of fun, but unfortunately have been abroad since then. I am finally back and am very interested in becoming a member and attending as many events as I can, especially as unlike Summit Point FATT they are on the weekend! I just wanted to check a I understood a couple of things based on my reading of the website so I do everything correctly.

Before the event I will print out a bar code for my car depending on the index and bar code with my name/number (not sure how to pick a number as I am not a member yet). As for becoming a member and getting a set number, I will wait till the event is open for guest registration then say my CDC number is 0 and I am going to join at the event and at the event I will pay the membership fee and the event fee. Or can I register now as I will become a member? I totally get it if the membership registration is only for people that have already paid at a previous event.

Thanks for the help, and I look forward to meeting everyone and getting the winter tires off the car!

If you are going to join the club at the event, you can make your reservation with the other members. Just use "0" as your member number and type "I will be joining the club at this event" in the Notes Section when you make your reservations. At the day of the event, you would just fill out the membership application and pay the $30 dues (good for 12 months from the day you join).

You can also make a reservation as a guest of a member (you need to know a member to use them as their guest), and you can also make a reservation with the members. However, you would have to pay the non-member rate ($10 more than the member rate).

In terms of driver numbers, only members have permanent numbers. Non-members as assigned a temporary number (typically in the 901 to 930, although one of our organizers has 923).

Thanks for the info. I am all registered and pending approval.

As for a printing out a number barcode, I should see a "guest number" on the roster after approval and I will use that at the first event. Then I will get a permanent number after I fill out the membership form; if I read that correctly.

Looks like an oil change in the books for this weekend, as my car has been sitting for a while :?
