I've created a Google Group for the Capital Driving Club. The purpose of this Google Group is to allow us to send occasional e-mail announcements to club members about our events.
In the past, Ed had been doing this task manually and it became a very time consuming and aggravating process. The hope is that a migration to Google Groups will allow our members to have greater control over how they receive announcements from us. The plan is to use our existing e-mail distribution list to add members directly and make this transition as seamless as possible. We apologize in advance if you receive duplicate e-mail messages. Chances are you have used more than one e-mail address to conduct business with us in the past. We regret the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we transition from our old, antiquated e-mail distribution methods to Google Groups. CDC will no longer maintain a separate e-mail distribution list in Microsoft Excel. All e-mail addresses may be managed by the user themselves.
If you experience difficulty or no longer receive e-mail notices from us you can sign up yourself through the web interface at Capital Driving Club @ Google Groups or by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
To unsubscribe, please follow the instructions in the e-mail announcement sent to you via Google Groups or simply send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We respect our members' privacy and we will never sell or otherwise release your contact information to others. This Google Group is set to announcement only so you will only receive occasional notices from either Ed or myself.
Note: This Google Group is not configured for dialog and you should not use the Google Group to ask us questions about the club or events. Please contact us via e-mail directly or if you'd like to participate in our discussion forum, please join us at http://www.capitaldrivingclub.com/forum.
