My Favorite Pizza Place

Here's my vote for the best Pizza in the DC area, Cafe Pizzaiolo (703-894-2250) located in Crystal City on 23rd St.

Their pizza dough is made fresh each day with super fresh ingredients. Their Neopolitan Pizza has fresh bassel, and I like it with roasted garlic (also super fresh).

Their pizza is the thin crust type (not thick), just the way I like it.

They aren't the fastest in getting the pizza but the quality is top notch.

I've gone here twice now for lunch specials. I like it alot. I've had thier Pizza and Rueben...both were very good...even thier salad was nice an fresh. Pricing was pretty good considering the area too.

They just opened their second location at the Calvert Apartments (the high rise on Mount Vernon Ave in Delray -Arlington/Alexandria).

I went to their opening night. The pizza was just as good. Larry (the owner) said that for now, they are still making the dough in the Crystal City store.
